I was shocked and pissed off after hearing everything from Nadia.
“You can stay here for however long you want,” I said truthfully. She gave me a wry smile.
Having her around was like having a sister around. Even though my family was chaotic, she brought some semblance of peace and happiness into my life.
Hence, my need to protect her was also stronger.
“You are not hiding anything from me, are you?” I asked sternly as we sat at the table.
