I purposely walked to school. This way, I could drag out some time and also not meet the kids who chose to take the bus to school. I envied how they giggled in groups, and I was jealous of the fact that they could giggle with someone, whereas I was a loner, a wallflower, or just an introvert.
I had a friend back in middle school, but suddenly she changed schools in the middle of the term, and after that I have been alone. My companions were books and manga. My entertainment was listening to the same few CDs I owned or recording songs from the radio on my well-used second-hand phone.
Aunt was always busy making ends meet by working two jobs but never complaining, so I was left alone with my notepad, where I sketched or the books or music.
