Luke leaned against the wall next to his mother and father as they sat talking with Tim. Cassie’s father and stepmother were there, too. Cassie was in labor. And they were all gathered in the hospital waiting room, the atmosphere jubilant. Even Luke was jubilant, but for a completely different reason.
