Kelly found the hospital distasteful. It was the same hospital she had recovered in after being attacked by Cassie’s ex-husband, Marcus Leary, over a year ago. She didn’t remember a lot about those few days, but she did remember how she hated being in this place. She had to keep reminding herself that this time, she was here for a joyous reason.
Then again, looking at Luke’s face, he seemed anything but happy. In fact, he was glowering like a neon sign, saying “Stay away.” Tim didn’t look happy either, he was acting unusually still and quiet.
