Waking up next to Quinn still felt surreal. Gently, I ran my fingers up and down her arm, causing her to stir slightly. When I heard a soft groan escape I laughed a little on the inside. She was always a bit grumpy when she got woken up.
“Good morning,” I said. She wrapped both her arms and legs around me and buried her face into my chest.
“Shh, it’s not morning yet.” Her words came out muffled.
