I took Paul’s advice and decided to leave the condo to be on the safe side. I grabbed some cash and rented a hotel room off the strip.  The past couple of days had been weird. The time seemed to fly by yet I felt as if I was moving in slow motion. I hadn’t heard from Dominic at all. He refused to take my calls and didn’t return any of my text messages.  I tried talking to my mom but she refused to tell me anything. At the very least I was hoping she would be able to tell me about my parents. I had only heard the bad that they had done. I wanted to know about who they were from someone who didn’t hate them.  I sat in the lobby bar and waited for Paul.
