You Slept with Me—And You Dare Call Me a Rogue?

1002 Words
You don’t just look like a bad guy. You’re a shameless rogue. Su Nian’en cursed him viciously in her head—but she didn’t dare say a single word out loud. “You don’t just think I’m a bad guy,” Han Xi Cheng said calmly, his gaze unreadable. “You think I’m a rogue too, don’t you?” It was as if he could hear her thoughts. As the last word fell, his hand tightened around her waist. This time, he didn’t hold back. The sudden pressure stole the air from her lungs, squeezing it out of her chest as if he meant to pull her straight into himself. Aren’t you?! You’re acting like one right now! Heat flooded her face. She glared up at him—at that infuriating raised brow, at the faint, lazy smile playing on his lips. She tried to pull away. Useless. His grip was ironclad. He held her pinned against him, so close she could feel the slow, steady rhythm of his heartbeat—so different from her own, which was pounding wildly, completely out of control. “I apologize.” His voice was low, smooth, almost gentle. Like rich red wine poured too slowly. “If I made you feel like I was acting like a rogue… I’m sorry.” Su Nian’en froze. She couldn’t react. Couldn’t think. Couldn’t understand what this man was actually trying to do. Seeing her stunned silence, Han Xi Cheng chuckled softly. His mood seemed to lift. “What?” he asked lazily. “I’m apologizing. You won’t accept it?” His lips curved into a smile as he waited, patient and unhurried, eyes dark with amusement. The scent of him pressed closer—clean, masculine, overwhelming. Finally, Su Nian’en snapped back to herself. She glared at him and hissed, “You are acting like a rogue right now!” This man— Shameless. Absolutely shameless. He took advantage of her again and again, then had the audacity to wear a gentleman’s mask and call this an apology. What kind of apology was this?! His hand was still gripping her waist. He hadn’t loosened it at all. And if he didn’t let go soon… His broad, solid chest was going to crush her. How was this not taking advantage of her?! Han Xi Cheng merely raised an eyebrow, his smile deepening. “That’s because this bathroom is too small,” he said calmly. “It’s crowded.” “…What?” Too small? Crowded? Her face flushed crimson with rage. Yes, the bathroom was small—but that didn’t mean he had to press against her like this! Fine. Fine! Han Xi Cheng was the wealthiest man in West City. Rumor had it his private bathroom alone spanned over two hundred square meters—lavish to the point of excess. Of course this guest bathroom felt cramped to him. She clenched her teeth, forcing herself to endure it. But still— What about the kitchen?! “Then why did you—why did you force a kiss on me last time?” she demanded, biting her lip as she glared at him. “That’s not quite accurate,” he replied mildly. “What do you mean not accurate? Are you saying I was kissed by a ghost?!” “No,” he said calmly. “It was definitely me.” “…!” The way he admitted it—so casually, so shamelessly—made her blood boil. After a long moment, she snapped, face burning, “Forcing a kiss on me—isn’t that acting like a rogue?!” “Is it?” Han Xi Cheng tilted his head slightly. “Compared to your behavior, mine seems rather restrained.” “What are you talking about?!” she shot back. “When did I ever act like a rogue toward you?!” She was so angry she almost laughed. This man twisted logic like it was nothing. He was the one taking advantage of her—yet now he was accusing her? Infuriating! “You slept with me in New York,” he said calmly. “Doesn’t that count?” His smile was ambiguous, his tone unhurried—teasing, patient, merciless. Su Nian’en went completely silent. Rogue. Absolute rogue. “That—that was you scheming against me!” she gasped, fury and humiliation crashing together. “You only did it because of my sister and Mu Jianchen! You were taking revenge on me!” As the words left her mouth, her eyes suddenly reddened. Like a small rabbit cornered with nowhere left to run. The moment Han Xi Cheng saw the tears well up—bright, stubborn, wrong—his expression froze. Just for a split second. In that heartbeat of hesitation, Su Nian’en shoved him hard and broke free. “Bastard!” she hissed through a choked sob. She yanked open the bathroom door and ran. Su Nian’en didn’t stop until she reached her room. She slammed the door shut and slid down against it, her body collapsing to the floor. Her fists pressed against her mouth as she bit down hard, suffocating the sound. Only then did the tears fall. Silent. Shaking. Endless. It was too much. All of it was too much. She hadn’t done anything wrong. She was the one who’d been betrayed—so why was she the one being tormented? Just because he had power and money—did that give him the right to trample whoever he pleased? Or was it because she had no parents, no one to protect her… that she deserved to be humiliated like this? She cried quietly for a long time. Then she wiped her face, sniffed, clenched her fists, and forced herself to calm down. She turned on her computer. She needed a job. Fast. It didn’t matter how much it paid. She needed money. Independence. She’d been scrolling for less than ten minutes when— Knock. Knock. Knock. Someone was at the door.
