The coincidences

Jane's pov

I made it through the meeting.My phone was beeping continuosly.It was Jake.He is coming back to new York today.I was so excited to meet him and possibly beat him up so that he will visit me more.there was also messages from James.He was telling me to come to dinner.He was using and Ariana to make me come.Ariana was my best friend,now my sister-in law.She married James,one year ago.I wanted to meet Jake but I got a feeling that there is more to it.i don't know what James is planning.

Erin was walking beside me.Just when I was about to exit the hall,the same brown eyed specimen was blocking my path.I wanted to erase everything that happened last night.I tried to control myself before I became a tomato.

"If you don't mind,I want to go.can you move over?"I maintained my facade and didn't even act like I know him.

"Is that the first thing you say to someone who saved you from falling on your face?"He was smirking at me .His brothers were amused and they were looking like they were in a theater.He was purposefully making me mad.

"You think I will thank you.i don't think I should thank you more.Either Erin or Harry would have already did it,there is no need for me to do it again.now if you will excuse me"

I started to walk again.

"Would you like to have dinner with me"He asked.His brothers were snickering.

"I don't even know who you areand I don't want to know anymore.i hope to not meet you again.You already know my fight with Harry.You are just asking me out on a date because you are intrigued.Harry would have told you something about me and don't get offended,if I were you I would asked me on a date.So....goodbye"

I grabbed Erin's hand and exited the hall.i didn't miss the huge laugh his brothers had.He was smirking and there was also a hint of amusement in them.

"you don't know who he is,do you?"Erin was looking at me curiously.

"someone who saw how unstable I can be when I am drunk"I was confused looking at Erin's expression.

"He is the Adrian Blackstone"I stilled for a moment but I was not intimidated by him.

"so what??"Erin was looking at me like I have just landed from another planet.She just scoffed at me and dragged me along to the car.

we came back to my house a while ago. I asked Erin to come with me to the dinner.I was totally suspicious about the whole dinner.we actually had dinner at James's house when Jake visited.

I missed dad so much.He was a government official.He got an assignment regarding corruption taking place in leading companies.So he was supposed to find the company who set up the whole thing.one day,he got into an accident and died leaving me in despair and suffering.My mom,Eliana Stone,at that time just packed her bags and left for her lover.Even though James and Jake were there for me,it was tough.i hated everyone and everything for taking away my dad.I don't believe it was an accident .I am investigating my own way.i wanted to find whoever made my life like this.Harry was another page that tore my heart.It was my first competition.it was the day dad died.Harry knew but he didn't say anything to me.He just pushed me to write according to my mother's orders.i loved him so much like my brother and he just betrayed me like that.i want to forgive him but everything that I said to him in my drunken state made everything worse.
