Sunday, November 27 9:30 AM Peyton Hosini "To the mall please," I requested to my driver. I had overheard Atlas talking to one of his silly friends, and picked up on some vital information. There was going to be another party today, but this time I would be prepared. It was the last day before the semester started, and I needed to have some fun. No, I totally wasn't going because I needed to redeem myself from my earlier actions. I knew that being fashionable was good for parties. I hadn't really been to a party though, it would be my first one. But there will be no more partying, I would only go this one time to redeem myself. At least that's what I told myself. The car jerked to a stop, and the driver announced I was at my destination. Not bothering to respond, I threw myself out of the car and practically ran into the doors, only to end up outside again. A boardwalk? I asked for a mall, but this will do. I took a quick look around, just to be aware of my surroundings. I then suddenly had the urge to breathe, something which I was already doing. Taking in a deep breath, I analyzed the crisp air. The smell of nature traveled through my lungs and I couldn't help but grin. This is the life. Looking around, I spotted a Forever 21 and skipped right over to it. The door chimed as I happily took a step in. "Hello, welcome to Forever 21. All shoes and jewelry are 25% off," the sales associate said greeting me. Shoes and jewelry are great, but only one thing was on my mind. A little black dress. Everyone knows that everyone looks good in a little black dress. If I wanted to go to this party, I would have to look up to par. My eyes scanned over the store, and landed on a few dresses. Although they weren't the one, I was determined to find that black dress. But then, that was when I saw it. The perfect dress to impress. The black matte material was smooth, and the shoulders were ruffled. Perfect. I snatched it off the hook, along with some other options and headed for the dressing room. Hurrying into the last room, I quickly shut the door and started undressing. "So, you know that crazy girl who totally ruined the party." I heard while striving to pull my pants down. "She's such a loser Marci, I bet she hasn't got a boyfriend." "Well she is Atlas' roommate!" "As if he would want to live with her! She probably made that up, she looks loony if you ask me," the girl responded. By then I had pressed my ear up against the door to listen more. Is this what people thought of me now? "We have to get her out of there! She can't have him, I'm his girlfriend not her. I should be in that room!" I'm guessing that Marci was obsessed with him. He didn't seem too engaged in a relationship yesterday. "Well let's just make a plan, come over and we'll plan. That b***h won't get him," the friend snarled. These girls are crazy. I removed my ear from the door and refocused on the dress. The dress seemed to fit my body like a glove, and I loved it. I already had the perfect shoes to go with it, so that wouldn't be a problem. Exiting the dressing room, I didn't even bother to try on the other dresses. All I wanted to do now was explore, but too bad it was cut short. "Well, who do we have here?" I heard a familiar voice. Oh no. I kept walking to the register and they followed, but I made sure to keep my head held high. Placing my item on the counter, I made sure to keep it hidden from those girls. They are already annoying as it is. I didn't want to be questioned about the dress. The worker rang up the dress and slipped it into a bag. "$29.34, ma'am." The girls snickered, and I found nothing funny. "Oh my gosh Marci look! The loony is here!" I knew they were just trying to get a rise out of me, so I paid the cashier, snatched the bag off the counter and headed towards the door. "Atlas doesn't want you! You delusional loon!" I'm guessing Marci yelled at me. I just want to go home. I took out my phone and called my driver. The sooner I got into my room the better. I will be going to that party. Nobody will stop me, not even those girls. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
