Board game night was a success. Vinnie hadn’t cheaped out on the ice cream, and she was fun to play with. She had a competitive streak that made winning against her meaningful but was a graceful loser when I won. I was a sore loser, so this worked out great for me!
The two of us caught up on the other’s life, trying to figure out how we had changed so drastically. But nothing stood out. She fell in with a local vampire flock and settled into being a vampire. I went to university and graduated.
