Chapter Two

1063 Words
I have been busy dealing with my wardrobe for the past two hours already. I have been thinking on what to bring and leave here when I get to Italy next, next week. As far as I know, I still have schedule set this coming week as both Ysabelle and Patrick will be celebrating their birthdays before our Graduation day for that week alone. As far as I'm concerned, summer season has started in Italy and spring just ended this week. Do I have to bring my bikinis? Or shall I buy them there instead? I don't want Aunt Saph to think that I'm taking advantage of her generosity apart from letting me stay in her humble abode as I start to live independently away from my parents clutches. I groaned and pulled out my two huge travelling bags with colors red and maroon. I went towards my study table and pulled out the drawer where I kept my stash of ribbons and arts and crafts. I cut the glossy red ribbon in half and had it tied to both the handles of the two luggages. That will serve as my bag identification once I arrive at the airport and have them checked-in while I have my hand-carry with me. As soon as I was done with placing identifications for my bags, I checked my mini-padlocks and keys for added security. It wouldn't hurt to be safe, right? I returned my attention to my current dilemma at hand. If summer season is our primary concern which according to my research, lasts from June until August and temperatures rising up to 32° and probably higher, I have lots of shirts and shorts with me. But I am not planning to bring them all there. Taking a look at winter season from December to March, layers of clothes are expected since it will be freezing cold and oh, I am not used to that kind of weather! I might really literally be frozen up to my soles. I only have my beige single breasted trench coat and grey princess coat, three varying colored blazers, two cardigans and a bomber jacket with me. Will those be enough to warm me up during those times? I sighed and pulled them out too. I glanced at the array of clothes on my bed. All of them were sprawled over and I literally cannot see my bed sheet. The beige single breasted trench coat was the longest as it reaches below my knees as well as my striped black and red cardigan and grey princess coat. Apart from that, those three were kinda heavy. Oh my goodness! I have tried it one by one and I am amazed how pretty I looked! Forget about them being heavy! I looked so fashionable in these winter coats! I grinned like a fool as I arranged my winter coats in a pile before I proceeded to roll my tees and shorts. I decided to have four pairs of shorts and about seven shirts enough for a week. I know how Aunt Saph is. She was too generous when it comes to us, her nieces. According to her, she missed pampering her children whom have grown into adults and now have their own families. Alonzo, her eldest son, is now a successful entrepreneur and has a cute two year old daughter. His wife, unfortunately, passed away when she gave birth to Valerie. Her younger child, Aliyaah, also has a family of her own. She is a successful manager of a bank in Florence and is raising her two kids, Diether and Dianne. Both already in grade school. Her husband, Peter Fonacier, is a doting father and husband who devoted his time taking care of them. Once I have rolled my choice of summer clothes, I have them placed immediately inside one of my travel organizers and then into my maroon luggage. I also made sure that I have packed my new set of underwear and brasierres inside an organizer before squeezing them in. From what it looks like from the outside, it was pretty neat and pleasing to my eyes. Now that I have cleared out my summer apparel and essentials, I thought of something else. Have I forgotten anything else other than clothes and undies? Should I have listed them all first before acting on impulse? I sighed! Yeah! Bingo! That's what I have forgotten. My very own to-do or to-bring list! I stepped towards my study table and fished out a pen from my holder and grabbed my notepad to jot down my things. Here's how my list looks like: Summer Weather Pockets 5 pairs of shorts 7 comfy shirts 5 sleeveless sandos 1 set of underwear 1 set of daily brassiere For Hand-Carry Passport Visa Valid IDs Sunblock Shades Powerbank Cellphone Charger Cellphone Ballpen Small notebook/ notepad Laptop Pocket Tissue Wet Wipes Oil Film Powder Lipstick Lip Balm Perfume Mirror Toiletries Toothpaste Toothbrush Foot Powder Soap & Soap Tray Sachets of Shampoo & Conditioner Napkin & Pantyliner Winter Season Pockets 2 Pairs of Coats 3 Blazers 2 Cardigans 1 Jacket 4 Long Sleeve Blouses 5 Pairs of Jeans I played with my pen as I racked my brain on the things I need to bring. Then a notification popped on my cellphone screen. It was an email from the company I applied at in Italy! My eyes widened and soon, I was crying with pure bliss. I got hired! Oh my gosh! God is so good! I have long been praying for this moment to come! I typed in my gratitude then sent it to them. I went to my laptop and opened the email and printed out their message. I made sure to print out three copies: one, as attachment to my passport and visa, second was for my reference when I submit my requirements once I get there and the third was my personal copy. I was tempted to post this on i********: when I remembered my security issues. So, I decided not to. I will be quiet as possible not to jinx things before I fly to Italy. I'll just tell Mom and Dad next week about this. I just have to contain my excitement or else, it will be ruined. Oh shocks! I totally forgot to bring and note down my corporate dresses and blouse!
