I exhale while pinching the bridge of my nose. This cannot occur once more. In front of the pack, I can't compromise myself. Her grin cracks. But Alpha," she fumbles to say. "However, this was enjoyable. I was very obvious that this was purely a physical situation from the start. You acknowledged that you were not my partner and that I would not accept you as such. Everything comes across harsher than I intended. She leaps. gets up, strolls over to the door, then vanishes into the hallway and the door shut behind her. Chelsy I'm startled awake by my alarm clock's blare. I get up and rub my eyes since I have no memory of going to sleep the night before. Although I would really like to sleep again, today is my first day of training, and considering what happened last night, I must behave myself. I can't believe Noah had that much nerve. He tried to speak for me and implied that we were involved, but who does he think he is? I didn't want him in my room at all. I turn the hot water shower knob to on and get dressed. In the mirror, I can see the bright pink elevated keloid scars on my back. Trouble is the last place I want to be, so I run my finger over the thickest one that bends on top of my shoulder. To test the water, I stick my palm under the stream, and it's perfect. As the hot water pelts across my skin, I step in and let my body unwind while keeping my eyes closed. My thoughts begin to return to what I seen the previous evening. The enormous appendage of Alpha William was on full display. He couldn't be his mate because I didn't know he had a girlfriend. They have no markings. My mind is consumed by his rock-hard c**k as my hand dangles down to my wet slit. I had just enough time to look for it to be committed to memory. A flood of joy replaces the dull throb as it goes away. I immediately complete my shower and hop outside while wrapping myself in the soft white towel. I put on a pair of black, high-waisted leggings and a coordinating sports bra, quickly ponytail my frizzy hair, grab my joggers, and head out the door. Fortunately, the training centre is only behind. As I make my way towards the training center, the early morning air greets me with a crisp, invigorating touch. The scent of dew-kissed grass fills my senses, and for a moment, it eases the whirlwind of thoughts in my mind. The events of last night continue to replay, each detail etched vividly in my memory. It's as if fate had a peculiar sense of humor, entangling me with Alpha William in such an unexpected way. I can't help but wonder about the complexities of the lives hidden beneath the surface of this tight-knit pack. As I arrive at the center, I'm met with a buzz of activity. Fellow pack members are engaged in various training routines, their determination evident in their every move. I take a deep breath, summoning the strength to push aside the lingering unease. Just as I'm about to dive into my own training, a familiar voice calls out my name. Turning, I find Noah approaching, a sheepish look on his face. "Chelsy, can we talk?" he asks, his tone softer than before. I sigh inwardly, but nod, deciding to give him a chance to explain himself. We find a quiet corner, away from prying eyes and curious ears. "Noah, what was that all about?" I ask, my voice steady but laced with a tinge of frustration. He looks genuinely remorseful. "I overstepped, and I'm sorry. It was wrong of me to assume, and I should have respected your boundaries." His sincerity catches me off guard, and I consider his words carefully. "Alright, apology accepted," I say, finally letting go of some of the tension. "But let's keep things professional from now on, okay?" Noah nods, gratitude in his eyes. "Of course, Chelsy. You have my word." With that settled, I throw myself into the day's training, determined to excel and prove to myself that I can rise above any complications that come my way. Days turn into weeks, and the rhythm of training becomes a reassuring constant. The pack's camaraderie slowly starts to envelop me, and I find solace in the shared pursuit of strength and unity. One evening, as the sun dips below the horizon, casting the sky in warm hues, I cross paths with Alpha William once more. This time, our encounter is less charged, more measured. There's a mutual respect in the air, a silent acknowledgment of the roles we play in this intricate dance of pack life. As we exchange a few words, I catch a glimmer of something deeper in his eyes. It's a vulnerability, a hint that there's more to him than the imposing Alpha facade.
