PERMISSION TO FEEL AGAIN

Episode 10: Permission to Feel Again Tom read the note slowly, his eyes scanning the words Elena had written to Daniel. When he finished, he closed the notebook gently, like it was something sacred. “I don’t think I’ve ever read something so honest,” he said. “Thank you for trusting me with it.” Elena’s voice was barely a whisper. “I didn’t know if it was too soon… to feel something again. With you.” Tom turned to her. “There’s no such thing as ‘too soon’ when the heart’s ready. The timeline isn’t on the calendar—it’s inside us.” She looked down at her hands, then into his eyes. “Do you ever feel like you’re betraying what you had? By moving forward?” He nodded slowly. “All the time. But then I remember—Claire wanted me to be happy. To love again. She didn’t want her memory to be the end of my story.” Elena’s eyes softened. The wind whispered through the trees, carrying the feeling of something old... and something new. For the first time, she didn’t feel guilt standing beside hope. Maybe love after loss wasn’t about replacing what was gone. Maybe it was about giving your heart permission to feel… again. And in that moment, she did.
