**Chapter 13: First Date**
Anyway, after today's shopping trip with the two girls, Wangdachui and Lihaoyang had used up a quarter of their living expenses for the month.
By the end of the month, they would probably be eating dirt.
Thinking of that, they returned to the dorm completely listless.
Lihaoyang lay on his bed, opened his phone, and started chatting with Liubingxin.
The money couldn't be wasted. He had to win the girl over.
Strike while the iron was hot. Build the connection.
Wangdachui had also added Tangenqi as a contact and sent her a greeting.
But...
She didn't reply at all...
Wangdachui was very confused.
Was Tangenqi busy?
In the dorm, Shenqiao watched them and silently shook his head.
Simps never had a good ending.
Then his gaze fell on Luoye.
He felt that Luoye and Subaizhou had real potential.
It was intuition.
Subaizhou was the aloof campus belle, yet she had ended up singing on stage with Luoye by chance.
Generally speaking, this kind of situation was destiny arranged by heaven.
(Wangdachui: Hehehe)
And today, he had witnessed with his own eyes that Luoye had added Subaizhou on WeChat, and judging by the situation, she had accepted.
This clearly meant there was hope.
Thinking this, Shenqiao sat on his bed and laughed out loud.
He, Shenqiao, was truly the most emotionally intelligent. He guessed everything right. Unbeatable. A master detective. The man holding the script.
The other three in the dorm looked at Shenqiao, who had suddenly started laughing, like he was crazy.
Wangdachui: "Idiot."
Lihaoyang: "Lost his mind?"
Luoye: "What happened?"
Just then, Luoye's phone rang.
It was a message from the fairy senior.
Luoye opened the chat.
The fairy senior said she was done with work and asked when he had time to take her gaming.
The answer was definitely right now!
Then Subaizhou sent her game ID.
The name was... "I'm Xiongda, You Suibian."
Hmm?
Luoye looked at the name and fell into thought.
That fairy senior was really a contrast in games, choosing such a name.
Maybe the fairy senior was aloof in real life but cheerful online.
In the girls' dorm, Subaizhou blushed at the name and couldn't help saying to Qinyuwen, "Shameless."
Hearing that, Qinyuwen was confused. Then she puffed out her ample chest and asked, puzzled, "Why are you insulting me? I've always had this name. Why didn't you have a problem with it before?"
Then she noticed that Subaizhou's team interface showed two people, but she didn't pay much attention.
After all, besides her, Subaizhou had a close friend studying medicine at Jiangcheng Medical University.
She was probably duo-queuing with her best friend.
And... Subaizhou had even put on headphones and was voice-chatting.
Qinyuwen was basically certain she was playing with her best friend.
After all, for an online introvert to speak, it had to be someone she knew well.
But even with her mic on, Subaizhou rarely spoke. She was very cool and aloof.
But for Luoye, that was enough. Being able to hear the fairy senior's voice made him incredibly happy, even feeling a sense of bliss.
The feeling of a boy liking a girl was probably like this—easily satisfied.
Luoye played support. Though he was better at jungle, the fairy senior had told him to support.
Come to think of it, the fairy senior's gaming style was very similar to Senior "Qinyuwen's." They were roommates, after all—great chemistry.
They played five games that night and only lost one.
Luoye sighed. "Xuejie is not bad at gaming, not like Qin Xuejie said."
Hearing his voice through the headphones, Subaizhou said softly, "Not bad at all. Much better than Qinyuwen."
Qinyuwen, who was scrolling through videos nearby, suddenly heard her name. She sat up and flailed her arms. "Zhouzhou, I feel like you're insulting me!"
Her voice was so loud that even through Subaizhou's headphones, it reached Luoye.
Hearing Qinyuwen's lively voice, he smiled. "Qin Xuejie's personality is also different online. Do girls all have two faces?"
"You could think of it that way." Subaizhou said flatly.
Though the fairy senior's voice was cold, she replied seriously to every word.
That meant he was already her friend. Otherwise, given her rumored personality, she wouldn't bother with him.
At this point, Luoye thought about asking the fairy senior to a meal.
What reason should he use?
Thinking this, he opened the QQ chat with "Qinyuwen" and asked:
Qin Xuejie, do you think Su Xuejie would agree if I asked her to dinner?
Seeing the message, Subaizhou fell into thought and replied:
You've known me for a while. Aren't you going to ask me first?
Luoye was taken aback.
That was right. He had known Qin Xuejie online for a long time, played many games together, and now they happened to be at the same university.
But he had never even met Qin Xuejie. Logically, he should ask her to meet first.
Luoye: Then... but would it be weird for a guy and a girl to meet alone?
Seeing that, Subaizhou replied: It won't be alone. You want to meet Zhouzhou, right? I'll bring Zhouzhou. But you can't bring friends. Zhouzhou is socially anxious.
Luoye: Okay!!!
He added three exclamation marks to express his excitement, then asked: Do you have time tomorrow night? I know a good restaurant.
It was the same restaurant Wangdachui and Lihaoyang had taken the two girls to today.
Love Hotpot: No time tomorrow.
Luoye: Huh?
Love Hotpot: Zhouzhou is usually very busy. But she's free on the weekend.
Luoye: No problem! Got it!
Love Hotpot: You just came to Jiangcheng and aren't familiar with the place. Let me treat you to a meal, as payment for helping me... and Zhouzhou rank up?
Luoye: That's not right.
Love Hotpot: It's settled.
After the chat ended, Luoye was in high spirits.
Playing games with someone you liked, chatting with them—it was such a joy.
But online, people always said love made you stupid.
He didn't think so. He felt he was smart as hell.
With anticipation, Luoye gradually fell asleep.
The dorm echoed with Lihaoyang's snoring and Wangdachui's sleep-talking.
Soon, the weekend arrived.
Luoye snuck away from his roommates and went to a barbershop across from the school to get his hair styled.
Because he didn't know how to do it himself.
As for why he had to hide it from his roommates... he didn't want everyone to know before there was a result.
After all, the person he was meeting was Jiangda's aloof campus belle. He couldn't afford to be careless.
More importantly, after observing, he had concluded that aside from Shenqiao, the other two were just putting on a brave face. They didn't know how to flirt at all.
He was better off handling it himself than taking their advice. They would only mess things up.
Luoye had the barber give him a 70/30 side-part fringe, which made his already handsome face look even more sunny.
He looked like a bright, sunny boy.
The barber even talked him into buying a membership card. Under the barber's warm send-off, Luoye left the small shop.
Today was the first weekend of regular classes after military training.
Those who knew, knew.
The budding hormones between boys and girls during training, along with seniors who had been waiting to ask out freshmen, were all gathered at the school gate today.
Visible pairs of boys and girls appeared at the gate in twos, along with a few groups of seven or eight people—both guys and girls, chatting and laughing.
Luoye suddenly felt nervous.
He had gone out with girls before, but when he was the only guy, it had only been shopping with his aunt.
