Even in its quiet hours at night time, the Elysium never truly slept.
As I wandered its wide hallways to the lower floors, I could still hear the low hum of music and the footsteps of patrolling executives. I tried my best to remain out of sight. I knew I shouldn't be out there at such hours. They had stated it when we were brought in. But after what was done to me, after the lesson, and the humiliation, I knew I couldn't continue there. I was going to escape, but not alone, and that was why I was out instead of in my chambers, trying to study the place and the patrol patterns of the executives.
