“Huh…”
Lyla's cheeks were flushed from the alcohol.
She had been drinking for almost an hour, and the effects were finally catching up with her.
Several men had cast glances in her direction throughout the evening, captivated by the beautiful woman sitting alone at the bar.
Lyla ignored them.
She suddenly felt a wave of nausea and hurried toward the restroom.
After vomiting, she washed her face and slowly made her way back into the hall.
Her steps were unsteady.
She staggered forward, barely paying attention to where she was going—until her forehead suddenly collided with something hard.
“Ouch!”
Lyla immediately rubbed her forehead and looked up.
“Such a hard wall,” she muttered drunkenly.
Without realizing what she was doing, she placed her palm against the man's chest.
Then she frowned.
“This wall feels strange…”
The man stood completely still.
He stared down at the delicate woman in front of him, his expression unreadable.
Under normal circumstances, he would have pushed away anyone who dared invade his personal space.
But strangely, he didn't.
There was something about her presence that made him feel unexpectedly calm.
Lyla's fingers wandered curiously over the front of his shirt before she looked up in confusion.
“Wait…”
Her eyes widened.
“The wall has a chest?”
The man's jaw tightened.
He drew a slow breath, forcing himself to remain composed.
Lyla continued staring at him as though she had discovered something fascinating.
Then he gently lifted her chin, making their eyes meet.
For a moment, Lyla became completely still.
Blue eyes.
Clear and deep, like an endless ocean.
She stared at him without blinking.
“Beautiful…”
Her voice came out as a soft murmur.
The man's hand remained against her cheek, his thumb brushing lightly across her flushed skin.
Lyla slowly raised her hand and traced the outline of his face, still mesmerized.
“The wall has a face too…”
Her fingers eventually reached his lips.
“Beautiful lips.”
The man watched her silently.
He was about to stop her when Lyla suddenly leaned forward and pressed her lips against his.
His eyes widened.
For a brief moment, he was completely stunned.
He could have pulled away.
He should have.
But instead, he remained frozen, caught off guard by the unexpected sweetness of the kiss.
Then his restraint snapped.
His hand moved behind her head, gently drawing her closer as he returned the kiss.
The kiss deepened, becoming more passionate as the distance between them disappeared.
Lyla's fingers curled lightly against his chest, her mind hazy from the alcohol and the unfamiliar warmth of his embrace.
Neither of them noticed the woman approaching from across the hall.
She stopped the moment she saw them.
Her face turned pale.
The man caught sight of her over Lyla's shoulder, but instead of pulling away, he tightened his hold on Lyla and continued the kiss.
The woman stared at them for several seconds before tears filled her eyes.
Then she turned and hurried away.
Neither of them followed.
Eventually, they broke apart, both breathing heavily.
Lyla blinked up at the stranger before her, still dazed.
“Are you really a wall?” she whispered.
For the first time that evening, the man's lips curved into a faint smile.
“No.”
His voice was low.
“I'm not.”
wanting more she asked him
"do you have a room",
He gently swept her off her feet without saying a word leading to his suite.
