She paused.
"My company was invited."
Evelyn's expression changed slightly.
"Your company?"
"Yes."
Lyla glanced toward the table.
"Foodie Goodies received a formal invitation."
Evelyn's smile faded.
She had clearly not expected that answer.
"Foodie Goodies?"
A few business associates at the table exchanged glances.
One of them immediately recognized the name.
"Wait..."
He looked at Lyla carefully.
"Are you associated with Foodie Goodies?"
Before Lyla could answer, a notification sound suddenly rang through the hall.
