Twelve I decided to drive home via SR 14 on the Washington side, so I crossed the Columbia on the Hood River Bridge. At the red light at the end of the bridge, I debated going left toward Beauty Falls or turning right to go to Little Salmon and check out Darby’s headquarters. I turned right. Slowed down as I headed into the tiny town of Little Salmon. Darby’s headquarters building took up most of a block, on the south side of 14, with the shipyard and the river in its backyard. I vaguely remembered a time when it was a tiny mall with small stores inside. No high wire fences surrounding it now. Didn’t see any guards. Nothing to indicate it was a high security building.
