THE GAME OF TIME

CHAPTER-3

While Mark was walking along the streets, he found something strange in his walking style. He did not have to put much efforts in walking. That means the gravity was less here. Mark was surprised to discover this new thing ang got very excited. He found no humans around him to share his joy so he started talking to Dora. Dora being clueless about all the things happening, she kept staring at Mark with her innocent eyes. Mark continued his talks with Dora, when he realized that he could not find any place to live in this new place yet. 

Mark   remembers that he had his phone in the pocket. He checked his phone hoping someone would have texted or called him but as usual he found no notifications.  Though this new place had good network, none of his friends tried to reach him. Even his family members did not bother to call or text him. Mark never expected anything from the people around him as they all were disappointing. But still he hoped someone would really care for him and his existence just to be more disappointed. That is when Dora started rubbing her face on Mark’s arms and Mark realized that even though no one cared for him, he always had Dora at his side being with him in all his ups and downs. Mark never liked being among people but the only company he loved was of Dora.  

Even though no one contacted him, Mark was still happy because he had a good network connection so he could at least surf the net and pass his time. Mark was now tired of walking under the scorching sun. He was also very thirsty and hungry as he couldn’t find any place to get food. Dora was tired as well so she slept in his arms. Mark kept walking and found a small café. He went inside to get something to drink. Mark did not have much cash with him so he decided to pay his bill via online payment. But the café had no such provisions. Mark was surprised to see this. He thought to himself, “How come they don’t accept online payments in 21st century?”. He asked a person sitting on the table next to him about some hotel to stay in and got the address of the hotel. Mark reached hotel and asked for online payment but received the same response. Even they did not accept cards or online payment. Mark was getting confused even than before. He finally realized that the fantasy world where he reached is very much different to the world, he lived in. 

Mark was exhausted so he decided to spend a few days in the hotel. He went to the market to buy some food for Dora. Luckily, he found an ATM. So, he went in to withdraw some cash for his expenses. He bought the food and went back to his room. He switched on the TV to check some news but did not find any news channel worth watching so he slept after his long journey.
