Chapter 27
RORY TOOK A SUITE on the main floor of an upscale hotel, deciding not to hide in some flea-bag motel where authorities might be concentrating their vigilance. As night fell, Rory set to work setting up a surveillance system of his own at the three entrance ways. He did his best to find hidden spots that wouldn't be seen by the hotel staff while also out of the rain so the surveillance images wouldn't be blurry. The tiny CCTV cameras were tied into software on a small notebook and the images on the notebook were routed to his cell phone so he could use either one.
As they ate Chinese take-away, Holly got the laptop with the software running, while Rory set up a secondary escape route.
