CATHERINE’S POV
I was exhausted. I went outside just to get some fresh air.
Tyler walked towards me with a smile
"Come with me," he said.
I turned to look at him. His eyes were soft in the moonlight, but there was something else there too, something that made my heart beat a little faster.
"Where?" I asked.
"Somewhere we can just... be," he said. " Just you and me."
I didn't need to think about it. I nodded.
We slipped away when most people had gone to sleep. Tyler took my hand and led me down a narrow trail I had never noticed before. The path was lit by moss. The air felt different here. it felt…lighter.
"Where are we going?" I asked, laughing a little as I stepped over a twisted root.
"You'll see," Tyler said.
We walked for a while, and I realized how much I had missed this
