CATHERINE’S POV The tunnel got darker whole as we moved deeper. The air was cold and heavy. I could barely see, but my wolf senses guided me forward through the endless dark. My heart pounded so loudly in my chest that it echoed in my ears. Any moment, I half-expected to hear shouts, footsteps… Ann’s guards closing in behind us. I was scared. Fear gripped me tightly. I kept lookig back, certain that shadows would leap out at us. “Calm down,” Carlos said softly beside me. “It’s sealed magically. Nobody can get in.” His words helped, but only a little.
