My eyes opened only to squint at the very bright fluorescent light that greeted me. I frowned. My room didn't have lights like those. I attempted to get up, but fell back down when I felt pain on my back. I took deep breaths as I stared at the ceiling above me.
I then realized I was in a hospital room. All events that happened before I was confined came back. At the airport where I chased after the plane but failed. After that, my crazy ex called and told me that she had Tina. Alert and furious I was at that moment, I immediately drove to the address she had sent. All anger and fury almost burst out of me when I realized she brought Tina in an abandoned house_ at the basement.
