Tina's POV
"Ace." I managed to croak out as I opened Axel's office door. He looked up at me from the files he was reading. When I was certain I could breathe fine, I said, "You have an emergency meeting with a client from Germany. He's waiting right now at the conference room. Do you want me to come with you?"
He just smiled and stood up to gather his laptop, folder and phone. "No. Please stay here in the office. And can you call Mom and tell her we'll be at the dinner. Please?"
I kissed his cheek.
"I'll take that as a yes. I won't be long."
I waved at him. "Good luck."
He just winked at me.
I sighed as I plopped down on the couch and dialed Sophie. She answered right away.
"Christina, sweetheart. I'm glad you called."
I smiled at her happy voice. "I miss you."
