Chapter 22
I was trapped in my body. My hair stood on end and I pushed myself to convince myself that I was not the owner of this body. I leaned against the door and rubbed the back of my neck while the redness stayed there. I swallowed a few times because my heart was thumping so fiercely.
I closed my eyes and sensed the heat that lingers inside of me. I can't just be like this. This is the first time I have experienced this feeling. But I know this heat, I read in books what this entails.
The books I read indicate that when you feel this sensation, it implies that your body is beginning to develop and you are experiencing a response to puberty and it is generally felt when the person you like is around.
