Liam POV
I despised everything around me, except for him. Whenever I teetered on the brink of insanity, he was always there for me. But the world conspired against our relationship, burdening me with a curse that afflicted my brothers and me.
"Your Highness, what are we doing in your room?" he asked, his eyes avoiding my gaze.
"How many times must I tell you not to call me 'Your Highness'? It's Liam. Call me Liam!" I shouted, frustration boiling within me. "Mason, are you going to drive me insane with your rejection? I love you!" I grabbed his hand and placed it on my chest. "Can't you feel my heart pounding for you? I love you so intensely, yet you persist in pushing me away. And the worst part is that you were hit by the Alpha King himself all because of me!"
