Harmony’s POV “Oh, Harmony I didn’t realize you were in here too,” Loralie started and then apologized in her sickly sweet voice. “I am so sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt you two. Please don’t be mad Harmony. I know having me here must be hard.” And yet here you are. The words that earned me 10 lashes in life 48. No, not this time. “Oh please don’t apologize!” I quickly countered. “You must feel absolutely terrified coming into this new home with all of these new people. I know you haven’t had time to adjust.” I walked up beside Ibram linking my arm in his letting his hand fall to my waist. It was disgusting but I knew it would piss her off. “Don’t worry my husband and I will do everything in our power to make your stay as comfortable as possible.” I could see the hatred flash across her face for a split second. Ibram looked at me confused but smiled genuinely, I could see the gears turning thinking he was going to be able to have his cake and eat it too. “You see Harmony, Ibram is the only one I know here,” she looked at him sheepishly, reaching out for his hand. “And with my heart condition…” “Oh, darling, why didn’t you say so. Only knowing one person can definitely cause someone to be anxious. Stella is my assistant, she can show you around and help you find a role here in our pack, I think the daycare needed help in the kitchen,” I explained, my head getting hit with another wave of pain. I needed to get both of them out of here. “But…” she started to get teary eyed. “Ibram.” “Oh yes, take him, he can show you the daycare,” I looked down, my vision was blurring. “I’ll be back soon my Luna,” Ibram reached for my cheek, lifting my face. His eyes shifted with peer worry Lance was peeking through. “Har your nose is bleeding.” “I’m fine,” I pulled away from his touch leaning against my desk. “Just go with her please. She needs you.” I added just for a flare of sympathy to those filming outside. “Har this isn’t up for debate you are my Luna, you are hurt. No one comes before you,” Ibram’s hand brushed my lower back. His touch disgusted me. “No no I’m okay I just have been overworking myself. I’ll have Stella draw me a bath, you take our guest out and show her where she’ll be working,” I grabbed a tissue and cleaned off the blood. “Alright babe get some rest,” Ibram kissed my head. “Wow the Alpha is choosing Mrs. Loralie even though our Luna is sick. Feels like the tides are changing,” I could hear whispers in the hall. I looked up at them seeing if either would say anything to the remarks, but nothing was uttered. Loralie was smiling shyly, clinging and Ibram looked only slightly nervous. “Oh Harmony please don’t get confused or upset about mine and Ibram’s relationship,” Loralie danced over to me wanting to grab my hand but I quickly acted as if I were still cleaning my face. “I’m sorry I didn’t hear what was said,” I looked up to them with the brightest doe eyes I could muster. “What did they say that would upset me?” “Oh,” she tucked her blonde hair behind her ears before leaning in and telling me. “Um they said Ibram was choosing me over you.” I gave Ibram a very pathetic look as if he had hurt me. “My goddess, how disrespectful to our alpha,” Stella walked in. She was still in her training clothes so I assume she had found out what was happening. “As if our Alpha would ever put our Luna’s position in question.” Her shiny raven colored hair pulled tight in a high ponytail swung back and forth as she walked over to me helping me back to my chair. I looked up into her soft hazel eyes and smiled. In this life I would make sure the people who loved me were safe. She and her mate Kenneth were the two people who had my back through every life. “Exactly,” I nodded. “I am not upset over something that isn’t real,” I smiled up at her. “I am the Luna of this pack and Ibram is the Alpha; my husband, my mate. I trust him to never make me look foolish.” I looked at him and c****d my head seeing how he’d handle this. One thing Ibram cared about above everything at this point was his reputation. “Of course my love,” he walked back over to my desk. “Whatever you want I’ll do for you.” “Take a bath with me,” I blushed up at him. “I want to relax with you.” “Your wish is my command,” he kissed my head softly. “Stella, would you mind getting the healing spring ready.” Yes, he is exactly who I remember him to be. I need the healing spring to help me cultivate only the Alpha can grant use of it. “But Ibram,” Loralie began to whine. “Miss. Loralie,” Ibram put on his Alpha voice. “Enough an Omega will take you to look around. I want to be with my wife.” Ibram lifted me into his arms and I nuzzled into his chest before peeking at Loralie who looked pissed. “I’m sorry I know you wanted Ibram to take you on a tour. I tried to help but can’t stop my husband when he gets protective over me.” “Oh looks like we got it wrong, seems our Luna only wanted to help Loralie out.” “Yes, how gracious of our Luna.” “But look at this woman she looks pissed.” I could see her fist clenched so tightly from the anger rising in her body. “Of course I understand. I hope to have someone who will love me like that one day.”
