Your world

720 Words
You ran down a hall. This hall was made completely of concrete. The reason? You underwater. This place is called "Level 10" The deepest level, which happens to be 300 miles under sea level. In the year 3148 A.D the president decided to dig down...way down, leading to the making of all the "Levels". 10 levels in total. Level 10 is in the ocean, (technically) In year 3148 they dug UNDER the ocean but.. It all fell, on the entire city. At the time there were radioactive signals coming from a nearby solar system and it was affecting the fish and aquatic life, so the president decided to dig down, place a giant bunker 300 miles below sea level, and have our fish at the bottom of the ocean. And kill whatever other animals we found. The bunker is about 100 miles tall and 200 miles long. It holds roughly 25 percent of the human race ( 5 billion people ). Everyone starts at level 10, they didn't want anyone to get any privileges because of their family's status. They wanted people to earn their privileges not inherit. Everyone strives to move up from Level 10, obviously trying to make it to Level 1 which is on the surface. The other levels are underground although they might not seem like it. All the levels have an interesting environment due to what happened to the ocean. The place where the ocean used to be started growing some odd-looking plants the government turned that into "Level 5" trying to conduct research. You'd get a lot of money doing work for the government. Sadly people who work there usually only live in level 3 2 and 1 and don't believe it is safe enough for people to actually live let alone thrive in level five so you completely skip that level and making the transition from level 6 to 4 nearly takes a week. There are some exceptions of course if you don't pass as a scholar in level 6 you'll be transitioned to level five as a "slave". (tending to plants. Despite if they're herbivores or carnivores) You'll be living in level 6 but you'll be working in level 5 you get paid better but it is extremely dangerous compared to level 6's circumstances. Considering level 6 is basically a Terrain of dried up un-active volcanoes. All the molten lava that was there at one point was either dried up by the water or washed down to level 9. There are certain dangers in every level you should be aware of: Level 10 has villa sharks (EXTREMELY poisonous)  Level 9 has lava, level 8 has a large lack of water and money, level 7 is a lot like level 5 but all the plants there were proven to be herbivores, it's pretty nice there besides the fact that everything there is basically poisonous. level six mostly lava. It comes from underwater volcanoes luckily they made it drain to level nine. (most of it anyway) level 5 was un- livable. Level four has no animals (besides humans) also meaning there's a lack of food, all the food you would get there would have to be ordered ahead of time. Level 3, is full of freshwater lakes, and seas, your only fears there is drowning or getting eaten by a radioactive bear. Believe it or not, has happened a few times (Still too many) Level 3 is on the surface, well half of it. Half of it is for the more wealthy Or for scientists there to research the radioactive animals that live in level 3. While the underground levels are for the newly moved in or the less wealthy. Level 2 is completely above ground. It's as good as level 1 but on the ground and has fewer options for colleges. Level 1! Literal Paradise! It's in the sky, is full of wealthy people, has only nobles living in it, and their main study is space! Not to mention the architecture is known to be amazing! It's an extreme honor to be able to live there. The youngest person to move there so far was 32. Everyone's pretty sure he got help from his parents. Right? I mean.. The youngest you can be to leave level 10 is 15 so...how would that work?
