Chapter Two: Stranger in the gardens

I grabbed another glass of champaign off one of the trays carried by the servants passing by, this would be my fourth glass and I could feel my head getting lighter and lighter with each sip I took. My future husband was very busy this evening going from table to table talking to various people like he was the one entertaining I could feel a part of me feeling abit sad, surely he wanted to spend time with me and get to know me if I was going to be his wife one day? Or was he the same as me feeling resentful that he had to marry someone he was not mated to? Doubts started to cross my mind and it made it hard for me to eat the food placed before me, but I tried as I felt I was being rude to my host’s if I did not at least try. Finally, after dinner Austin made a B line for me as if to make a point that he wanted to spend time with me, he lead me outside into the gardens to talk more privately and out of the way of preying ears. The sun had fully set now, and the sky was a deep shade of navy decorated with stars, it was nice and cool outside but peaceful which made me feel abit more at ease after the amount of alcohol I had I need the fresh air.  I decided to be the first to strike up conversation “So, tell me, what’s my new home going to be like?” I asked Austin he smiled at me and looked off into the distance “well it’s not quite like this place,” he gestured around in a disgusted tone “in fact nowhere is quite like home it’s too warm here I like it nice and cold he said,” What? Who could not like this warm weather I thought to myself? And more to the point what was wrong with the Archer’s home it was beautiful here. “Your new home is up in the mountains surrounded by vast amounts of woodland, we get quite abit of snowfall in the winter months leaving us in splendid isolation.” With the final words of that sentence he came closer to me and I could now smell him, a masculine wood scent filled my nostrils, he placed his hand to my chin and gazed deeply into my eyes “Would you like that? Spending alone time with me just us keeping each other warm,” I felt his eyes travel down my body especially when he mentioned the keeping warm part and there was the uncomfortable menacing smile. I did not like it. Not one bit. I just nodded and looked out onto the view beneath us and that’s when he pulled away from me and started to talk again “My home… I mean our home is a lot more grand than this, in fact I wouldn’t really see myself ever living somewhere like this” he said turning to look back at the house and there it was again the look of disgust it was almost as if he thought he was too good for this place or this place gave him a bitter taste in his mouth. I did not like this arrogance I was humbled to be welcomed into this beautiful place and I saw nothing wrong with it. “I’ve taken liberty of re-arranging and decorating our room for your arrival as well as a new wardrobe as you know you will be expected to be well presented at all times so you will only ever be dressed in the best clothing. Although I’m sure you look breath taking without” there he goes again undressing me with his eyes and hinting at a s****l encounter I’m not a piece of meat! Was it always about s*x with him? Was it the alcohol he had consumed? Was it my own fault for dressing seductively? Who knows? I suddenly felt a hand on me then two and Austin was pulling me closely to him I could now smell him once more and it was intoxicating as though something was taking hold of my body and I wasn’t in control anymore. He bit his lip whilst looking down at me then without wasting a moment his lips were on mine and he was embracing me in a passionate kiss, I matched his needs for this was the first time I had ever been kissed this way although moments before I had found his attitude disgusting it was as though my body couldn’t care less. I began to notice his hand travelling up the slit in my dress allowing his ever so soft and warm touch place me under his control, my body felt as though I could die from the sudden feeling of lust in my lower regions. I now could feel his hand was cupping my backside and a little moan escaped my mouth as though some primal instinct was taking hold of me and I could not stop it,  he buried his tongue inside my mouth once more. Surely, he did not think he could just claim me right here right now anyone could disturb us? But I suppose this was apart of the fun that he planned to have with me, and although I hadn’t planned for my first time to be in public like an exhibitionist I just couldn’t control myself I was possessed and full with the urge to have my first release.

Austin had led me to a lower section of the garden which seemed to have more cover and privacy so no one could see us, I noted him loosening his tie and undoing the buttons of his shirt I could hear him breathing now it was heavy and almost like a faint panting. My head was feeling noticeably lighter right now my heart racing and pounding like a drum, my body mimic Austin’s movement as he backed me up against a wall. The wetness between my thighs was growing and now my breathing grew more deeper, “You taste so good, every night we will be like this,” he whispered to me sounding out of breath biting down on my lip. Sliding down my straps I could feel my breasts revealing themselves to him and my n*****s grew hard when the cool air hit them he slide his tongue across one of them and another moan escaped my mouth, this felt wrong to be like this with him as we had only just me a few hours ago but I have this overpowering sensation placed over my body that was controlling me like my body was dancing to whatever melody his was playing. I just couldn’t explain any of it. Then I felt his fingers sliding my pants to one side making me tingle with delight I was dying for him, I desperately wanting him to take me right here right now. “Alpha!” I heard a man shout it startled me snapping me back into reality what was I doing? My first time should be romantic not a heated moment in another home. I suddenly felt glad we were interrupted as I didn’t think it was appropriate to be caught fornicating in someone’s garden, but I couldn’t help it, it was like I was under a spell and I wanted more. “God dammit,” I heard Austin say scrabbling to make himself decent again. It turns out it was his Beta Jordan with some news from his father. Austin turned to me looking beyond frustrated, I could also feel Jordan look slightly embarrassed to have interrupted us. “Stay here!” her barked at me like I was his pet, but I did as I was told as any good future wife should and stayed in the gardens. That was when I suddenly remembered the steps, I saw them earlier leading down to the beach and although Austin had just told me to stay I just couldn’t help myself as I loved to roam and explore after spending all my life in just once place.

Floods of emotions came over me and I felt as though what every trance I was just under with Austin had vanished and I could see clearly I started to feel as though I shouldn’t of done what I just did with Austin. I just couldn’t explain it, why did I feel as if I wasn’t in control of my body at all? It worried me slightly and although I couldn’t deny I was enjoying the heated passion it just didn’t feel right, I wanted to be feeling all these things with my one, my mate. I shook my head I had to stop thinking like this as it was not going to happen for me, this was my future now and I had to accept it. I managed to find the steps I saw earlier they looked steep and something in the back of my mind was telling me this wasn’t a good idea I turned around to leave, I should of done as I was told and stayed where I was. I suddenly was hit with a delicious scent and it caused me to spin on me heels and turn around I was met with a pair of eyes staring back at me, my gaze locked with this stranger for a good few minute and my inner wolf started to howl I wanted to tell her to hush but I didn’t understand what she was fussing over. The person who I had felt behind me was now in full view he looked as though he had just see a ghost judging by the surprised look on his face “I didn’t…..I….,” the stranger stuttered he clearly didn’t know what to say to me but before he could finish his sentence it was like I knew exactly what he was trying to say “It’s okay you didn’t,” I smiled raising my hands to signal him to relax himself. The look of surprised vanished in an instant and turned to one of amazement and curiosity he diverted his gazed and looked to the steps behind me. I wasn’t sure whether he had just said something else to me as I found myself too distracted looking at him his scent was overpowering me and hitting me in waves making my heart race. The stranger had thick dark wavy hair and dark skin with a bearded chin he looked to be the same age as me or so at least I thought, “decided against it huh?” he gestured pointing towards the steps behind me, I nodded “Yeah, they look pretty steep,” I shyly replied why was I feeling like this? Snap out of it Willow. “Here come with me, let me show you something.” He said turning on his heels and reaching out for my hand without any thought I took it and I suddenly felt another rush as we touched each other. I followed him to wherever he was taking me I had forgotten all about Austin now and I was more occupied with the wonder of where this man could be taking me! Leading me down a dark and hidden pathway we soon found ourselves coming out at the beach, the same beach as where I wanted to go earlier my mind then began to wonder once more how did he know this way? Was he related to Alyssa? Was he a pack member? Who was he? I took off my shoes leaving them by some rocks so I could walk along the sand feeling the sand between my toes. There we were walking along a beach just two strangers in a comfortable silence. I’m sure Austin would have something to say about this. The silence was then broken “No one knows about that pathway except me, so I hope you can keep a secret,” he joked I smiled and just nodded in response, “What’s a lovely lady such as yourself doing out here on your own? Surely you’d rather be inside dancing?” he asked me I just shrugged my shoulders “I saw this beach on my way here and part of me just wanted to come down and explore it,” I responded  for some reason I did not want to tell him about Austin and I wasn’t sure why I felt the need to do so but the stranger just smiled at me attentively listening to every word. “Little explorer are we, well there’s definitely loads of places to explore round here you’re only scraping the surface with this place. Maybe I can show you sometime?” he extending his arm out making my eyes follow it to see all the vast woodland surrounding us I liked the sound of that, but I liked the sound of his voice more. “I’d like that,” I replied.

It hadn’t been long when I heard Austin shouting my name from the gardens above us, I turned to the stranger who looked shocked as he had finally learnt my name from Austin’s shouting. I felt the sudden urge to flee the scene, “I gotta go,” I said to the stranger as I turned on my heels to run back up towards the house. There was a sudden cool breeze from behind me filling me with the scent of the beautiful stranger, it made me not want to leave I wanted to stay, stay in his prescience forever! That is when Austin appeared out of nowhere as he walked towards us, I could tell by his stride he was not impressed, his eyes burning into the stranger with a deep look of anger and jealousy. Without saying a word, he took my hand and dragging me away from the stranger, “Goodbye Willow,” the stranger called out to me with a slightly amused look on his face I felt as though he and Austin knew each other but how? Austin kept pulling me all the way dragging me along like a rag doll when we finally reached the gardens again, he let go, I slipped my shoes back on and I was then met with a deep and menacing gaze. “Do you normally not do as your told? What were you doing down there with him” Austin’s emphasis on the him confirmed my suspicions, they clearly knew each other I rose to my feet with my shoes now back on but before I had chance to answer him he pushed me up against the wall smothering me with his mouth making me his prisoner once more. I was not a fan of how possessive he was acting moments ago, all for what he knew I could have been friends with this stranger and nothing more. So this was my life now being told what to do and to obey his every word being dragged about and being kept as a possession. I pushed him off me this was all getting abit too much we barely knew each other, Austin looked shocked by this “we don’t know each other yet, can we just slow down,” I pleaded with him but he looked disgusted with me for a moment then his face relaxed. “As you wish” with that he walked away from me back inside I breathed a sigh of relief and sat down on a bench nearby, what a whirlwind of a night. I felt my head start to spin and that was my cue to retire to my room, I collapsed on the bed and closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I was shocked to find it was morning.

The sun was beaming in through the windows and as I tried to sit up my head felt heavy, fuzzy and sore. I reached up with my head to touch my forehead thinking to myself was last night a dream. I managed to bring myself to my feet I looked in the mirror and saw two panda eyes looking back at me, I needed to clean myself up for breakfast but my stomach started to shift uncomfortably and that’s when the urge hit me. I ran to the bathroom and threw up last night’s dinner into the toilet, I felt well and truly hungover. After repeating this once more I mustard up the energy to get into the shower and get dressed. I left my room and as I shut the door I noticed Thane and Alexander leaving their room too, “oh dear Willow, you look worse for wear” Alex joked, I shot him an ice cold stare and followed them down to breakfast. All the guests from the ball had left now it was just me and my family with Alyssa’s, I should of been mad that Austin didn’t say goodbye to me last night but I was feeling quite relieved as I couldn’t deal with him this morning. I sat down at the table the spread was mouth-watering there were pastries, fruit, pancakes, waffles, bacon in fact anything you can think of, I started to tuck in my stomach was feeling pretty empty right now and I wanted to give myself more energy. The doors to the dining hall suddenly opened and in walked James he was Alyssa’s older brother and soon to be Alpha, he was identical to Alyssa you could tell they were related. Then behind him followed another whose face was familiar I felt a tiny gasp escape my mouth, it was the stranger from last night, I suddenly heard Charles chirp up at the end of the table “Everyone this is my nephew Lance” he said introducing the stranger. Lance, that was his name but how did he know Austin, suddenly my eyes locked with him again and he gave me a subtle smile I felt myself blush beginning to smile uncontrollably. I then saw Aragon looking at me as if he had figured something out that the others had not. We carried on with breakfast and it turns out Lance too was a Alpha who’s pack lived alongside Charles’s in another house further along the beach, every now and again I could feel him looking at me it made me feel excited to the point where I wished it was only me and him in the room.
