Nova asked me to get something from the packhouse before the meeting, so I'm just walking through the halls right now trying to locate the library. I pass by what smells like Aria's current bedroom and I notice her bedroom door is cracked slightly. I hear voices coming from inside.
“You need to tell him everything before you lose him for good.” I vaguely remember that voice belonging to her sister. “What if he turns out to be just like him, Jay? I don't want to fall in love again. I can't put myself out there like that again.”
I step far enough away from the door that they won't smell me, but close enough to still hear their conversation. I know that it's wrong to eavesdrop but she won't talk to me so how else am I suppose to understand what is going on?
