Chapter Four JAY MANOEUVRED THE small motorbike through the paddock filled with dirty, stinky black cows and swung around so that he was behind them. From what he understood, they were moving the beasts from this paddock that was barren and dry, into that other one that was green and had a huge dam. Jay couldn’t see it, but his dad said it was back there somewhere. Moving the animals seemed like a good idea to him, especially if they wanted to keep the cows alive. “Jay, can you ride around the herd and rev the engine a bit to get them moving?” Mitchell’s voice broke into his thoughts and he nodded, twisting the handle on the bike that made him surge forward.
