We sat there for about an hour when Alex walked back out and came over to us.
“She is OK. Really bruised up and tired, but she will be ok.” Alex explained.
“Dad, something feels about her. The whole situation.”
“Listen, she was a rogue and was captured by someone, and they beat her daily before she escaped.”
“And what she just happened to stumble across the one pack that would help take her in? Don’t be stupid, dad.”
“Ella, give this girl a chance. She is a victim, just like you.”
