Ayla The feast went on as Leo, Snow, and I ate cautiously and studied the hall. The different groups ate and drank heartily with the people they sat next to, the air filled with excited chatter. The table in front of us was lined with different meals the servants had brought over. I could see people occasionally glancing our way, some bold enough to point in our direction, so we knew they were talking about us. “Eat up,” I whispered and handed them bowls of food. They took them from me and eagerly ate up the contents. I resisted the urge to stop them from eating every time they put a spoonful in their mouths after the hostility Snow received from the first servant. But I could tell they were famished by how quickly the spoons flew to their mouths, so I decided to let them eat in peace.
