Wednesday morning arrived quietly. Ava sat at her desk before school, reading through the students' first reflection sheets. There were fifteen of them. Some were only a few paragraphs. Others filled an entire page. She smiled as she read. One student had written about discovering a character who reminded him of himself. Another had written about how reading helped her forget about a difficult day. Someone else had written: I didn't know I could enjoy reading this much. Ava stopped. She read the sentence again.
