All the, love at first sight, stories that many mated wolves had told me were lies. There was no love, no euphoria just an unbearable attraction I wished I could destroy. He gazed at me as I stood rooted bt the door he was totally unfazed as if he couldn't feel anything. Which must have been the case since vampires can not feel the mate pull strong as it was. The thought of this being one sided irked me to no end, my hands itched to smash something, mostly his face on the hard floor. Yet the thought left my heart wallowing in displeasure.
"Alpha Blake." he called, his smile fell and his lips were set in a straight line. "Mr Richardson, isn't this an honour." I said ridding myself of any thoughts unrelated to my mission. "Please take a sit." I stepped further into the room and sat across him on the U shaped sofa. I turned to the man beside him and likely he did not wait for me to say anything for I did not know his name. "Ms Blake, it's a pleasure meeting you. I'm Arthur." "The pleasure is all mine." I said with a smile receiving the glass of whiskey he so kindly offered without asking. I searched the room with my eyes but there was no sign of Colton and his crew ever being here which did which did not ease my worry. "You must be wondering what I've done to your friends." I turned back to the hazel eyed man and said "I am curious as to what fate befell them at the hands of the most ruthless vampires in history." "You flatter me." he chuckled. "Nothing deadly, though I must admit I'm offended you'd send those boys to seize me." "Yet here you are." "On my free will." "That is beside the point." "Is it?" Although it was my instruction, I did not send Colton to capture him. Sending a bunch of young wolves to capture an original, it is indeed ludicrous. My plan was to lure him out and have him meet me which was easier than I had predicted. "After a millennia of walking the earth, I expected you to have overcome such pettiness." "You think too highly of me, but you didn't come all this way to lecture me about pettiness, have you?" I merely smiled and decided to get straight to business. The longer we spent chatting my beast grew more restless and time was not on my side anyways. My dear brother would be fuming if I got back a minute later than I promised.
"Of course, I have a proposal for you." "We're listening." I glanced at Arthur before starting my infamous threat speech. I've used it a few time and it has proven to be fruitful. "Our species have always been at war." I started only to be interrupted by Arthur. "I think I know were this is going. You threatened us with whatever little information you have then kindly suggest we pledge our allegiance to you in hopes we'd accept." he said annoyance written all over his faces like an 'extremely dangerous' sign. Just not this time I guess. I guess I'd have to take a different approach.
"It's rude to interrupt someone when they speak." I said calmly. He scoffed before chugging his whiskey without a flinch. "As I was saying, our people have been at war for far too long. We have turned a blind eye to our common enemy and in doing so we've been evicted from our home." "You were never evicted, you ran away." Blake’s never run, the disappear. I wanted to say but as it was the odds were far be it in my favour. "So now, why don't you get to the point before I get hungry." Arthur said. "That is my point, I want back what belongs to me and you're going to help me take it. Of course you're allowed to refuse but your dearest sister..." "What have you done to my sister?!" His sparkling forest green eyes turned to black pools with glowing red rings, showing his true face. Our beloved death reincarnate or maybe his descendant.
"Not me, but I do know where she is. So shall start afresh?"

"Are you okay?" I asked, the repellent stench of decayed corpses hung in the air and I did not with to stay for longer than necessary. "Never better." Colton grumbled without sparing me a glance. He and his friends stomped to the car Mr Richardson kindly offered us. Surprisingly they were unscathed but their moods seemed as foul as this wretched place. After our negotiation, I was given the location to locate the boys, I must admit vampires are more reasonable than I expected.
“Goodnight.” I called after Colton before he closed the car door. “Night.” And with that I was left alone in the car. I gazed up at the starry sky and couldn't help but recall the chancy sparkle in Mr Richardson’s. “Anyone seen having an ambiguous relationship or communication with our enemy shall be cast out...” I recall announcing to my people. At that time I was forcing them into siding with me, leaving them no choice but to fight my battles. Yet now it like nothing but a cruelty I wish to reverse, even if he cannot feel what I do. My nose increasingly grew sour as tears fill my eyes. The moon was fading into the light but I, like a sinking ship, darkness consumed me.
Knock! I turned to the window only to see Kevin, a suitor I've indulged a few times over the years. “Raven...” his voice came muffled. I wiped my tears quickly before opening the door and stepping out. “Kev, isn't it a bit too early to be up?” “Isn't a bit late to be out?” “Touché.” He flashed me a boyish smile that would have had me swoon if an old crone hadn't meddled with my life. “Are you okay?” he asked cupping my face. “Yes, yes never better.” “You're doing that thing again..” he said raising his eyebrows at me and I couldn't help c**k one at him too. “What thing?” “The ‘Yes, yes never better’ thing.” He said doing an awful job at mimicking my accent. I chuckled lightly. He could obviously tell there was something wrong given he frowned worriedly. “Tell me what happened.” “Don't worry about it, twin squabbles all over again.” I lied. Despite my entanglement with him, I harboured no intense feelings for him and he knew that. He was more a best friend I'd hate to lose so I used his feelings for ne to keep him close, to at least have someone to confide in when I can't confide in my brother and this was one of those times. Yet I couldn't bring myself to shatter his heart by sending him off worse yet scare him with the new that an Original could bring him to his end after, of course, I find the courage to tell him about our bond. If he doesn't feel it too.
“What happened this time? Do we need to be afraid?” “No, nothing to trigger his rage enough to m******e an entire village.” “...but enough to kill traitors.” My blood ran cold and my grip on Kevin's shirt tightened. I hurriedly pulled him behind him and stood straight before my brother. “This is the important errand you had to take of in the dead of night?” “We've wolves, there's nothing scary about staying out late other than your paranoia.” As if he couldn't hear me he stalked forward, veins spread below his now silver eyes and rage shone in them in terror on the poor soul behind me. “I found the Original.” I chirped rather enthusiastically hoping his attention would leave this poor boy. “You might want to run along.” I said to Kevin never taking my eyes of my brother's. My dearest twin and I stood frozen in a deadly eye lock for a long moment. When Kevin was out of earshot he said “My beta?” He asked supressing his anger. “Jason-" “He does not deserve my kindness nor his life.” He said. “Jason, it not like I shagged him or something.” I bit out angrily, he wasn't even paying any heed to the important information I had given him. Before I could even comprehend a thought he had my neck in his palm pining me with a weather stare. “You what?” “Brother we have other important matters to worry about.” “Another than you w*****g around with my beta?” I searing heat engulfed my heart and the thought of leaving him unconscious in a coffin pleased me greatly. I punched him square in the face, sending him flying across the parking lot. His insult wasn't what angered me but the apologetic look he adapt when he realised what he'd said. I pounced on him hit every part of his body he left unprotected. “So you get to go around f*****g every willing she-wolf in the pack and I can't even get a boyfriend?” “He'll just...” “Break my heart?” He used caught me by the throat, eyes aglow with an angry silver. “Yes, he'll break your heart just like every other guy you indulged.” “You mean every other guy you killed?” I choked out sarcastically or at least I tried with only half my air supply. “I will not have my sister being used to satisfy the lust of some cowardly peasant!” he growled. I lost track of time as we beat each other senseless.
Soon the sun was blazing, we stopped sometime after we had a hoard of kids rushing to play outside. We sat face to face on the ground. Our clothes were torn in various places, blood on our hands, twig in our hair and so on. I heaved a deep sigh not daring to tear my ear of his. One never knows when her brother pounces decides to beat the crap out of them if they let their guard down.
“I'm sorry.” He said breaking the frosty silence. “For what?” “Everything.” “Which everything? The part were you called me a w***e or maybe...” “All the parts.” I scoffed before standing up. I was exhausted, hurt many different ways, lacked a week worth of sleep and just...frustrated. None of this was part of my plan!
“...But you stay away from the boy, or else...” came the last words from my brother before I dashed into the house. He didn't have to say it, if he didn't do it someone else will anyways. What's one little life, right?
I shredded the remains of my clothes of my body and stepped into the shower. The water was warm at first but soon it was hot. Just what I needed. I noticed a hole on the wall. This was something the reminded me if how I hate this house.
Many years ago I believed kike every other wolf, I would to trigger the werewolf curse by killing some but to my great displeasure this choice did not extend to me. I had done nothing wrong, preserving my innocence as much as my father had wished. This bathroom was actually an extension of the study at that time. In broad daylight, unlike any other the first snap of my bones began. It was painful and only got worse when I resisted. But that pain was nothing compared to the pain I felt when those who were supposed to protect me, shunned me and left me to rot in a human cemetery.
I sent the memories away instantly. I quickly washed up and planned to binge sleep but Kevin sneaked into my room with a worried look. “I'm sorry I...I are you okay?” I nodded without a word hoping he simply get the message. “I...I shouldn't have left you to fight on your own...” “It's fine, you'd have just gotten yourself killed if you had interfered.” He nodded softly. “Listen Kevin, I'm really tired...” “I get it, I'll uh see you later?” “Okay.” He then placed a kiss on my forehead before leaving me to myself. I subconsciously wiped my forehead before flopping onto my bed and letting the darkness swallow me whole.
