Running free

Layla's Pov: (6 months ago till now)

Layla's dream:

Running threw the woods, happy and free, I'm running so fast I come to a clearing along a mountain, I suddenly stop and stare at the beautiful sight in front of me, huge waterfall flowing so heavily falling into a lagoon, a little beach area, with a tree in the middle of it, I start walking toward the beach area, I lay down on the sand running my fingers and toes threw it, it feels so good. Laying there seemed like hours, I watch as I drift off to sleep, hearing a growl, I quickly sit up and come face to face to a big beautiful white wolf, she was staring back at me, almost like into my soul I could feel her every heartbeat, her eyes are huge and a beautiful blue color, almost like they were glowing I reached out to her, not feeling scared to do so, she just sat there, I just rubbed her whole body feeling her shiny smoothe fur, took every inch of her in, she just layed there like she wanted me to do this, "I wished you could stay with me forever, you would protect me I can feel it." I say to the wolf she just looked at me, we stared at one another for a long time, suddenly she stood up, and growled and I fell backwards her growl was loud and very powerful, standing back up she still growling at me, "Hey, calm down girl, it's ok I want harm you, please don't hurt me, if you do just make it fast, I have nothing and no-one in this world, I'm nothing." I say dropping to my knees. She stops growling and curls her big body around me, licks my face. "Well I'm glad your off your wolfy hormone." Chuckling, then the unrealistict thing happen, her lips and mouth started talking, "Layla, my name is Tanwyn, I am your wolf, and we are powerful pair, I promise you I will protect you from now on, I will not let another person, wolf no-one in this world will ever hurt you again, you and a wolf name Ajax have pushed the barrier between us, we can now be one together, but it's not time for me to come, get threw this next delay in days and show me that we can be a pair together, I need to make sure you are strong enough to handle me, you was giving me by the moongoddess but I need to make sure we are worthy to each other, soon Layla if you can be free one more time, I will help us for the rest of our lives, now wake up and heal."

Splash! jolting my eyes open, I look around and find myself face to face with a guy maybe in his late 30's knelt down infront of me, I try to swing my arms or move my legs but I'm to weak, panicking I try to speak but just a squeak comes out. Sensing me panicking the guy quickly throws his arms up and says, "Hey, hey calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you, I promise, I saved you from them men." Remembering everything that happen before I blacked out, Barron's men, I try to move again, I become dizzy and fall backwards but the guy catches me just in time. "Look, I promise I'm not gonna hurt you, you need help your losing alot of blood, I need you to drink something, please." the guy concernely says. Staring at him for a few moments, I nod my head. He hands me a cup of water from the flowing creek beside us, he helps me bring the cup to my lips, I drink slowly, my god I was so thirsty, finishing the drink, he leans me back against a tree, he stands up and walks backward toward a bag, pulling out a first aid kit, and bandages, he walks back over to me kneelts back down, he goes to wipe my face but I flinch up, he stops mid way and gestures sadly that he can continue, I relax just a little bit, he wipes my face slowly and gently, watching him do the rest to my legs and arms, and head I see that he has dark brown eyes, short black hair, tall and stalky, I even see a ring on his finger, finishing up, he puts all the bloody bandages and rags in a ziplock bag and discards it, opening the bag back up, he pulls out a huge hunting knife, "I'll be right back, I'm gonna find us some supper, you need food, I'm not far your safe right here ok." he says. I just stare at him. He walks by me and vanishes, I take in my surroundings, we are next to a creek were in a dense wooded area, he has a fire pit set up no fire started yet, it was chilly or least I thought so, could be lack of blood that I have lost, soon I hear some ruffling then some kind of sound, after a moment, the guy comes back out where he went in at, this time holding 2 dead rabbits, he goes over to the fire pit and lights it up, then going over to the creek, he begins to gut the rabbits, when he gets done doing all that, he sticks a long stick threw them and places them up above the fire, rotating them every little bit. We haven't spoken, well he hasn't I don't know if I got my voice back yet, moving slightly I look down at my empty cup then back at the creek, it's not far, just a few feet away from me, I can get to it, weakly trying to grab the cup, I finally manage, then the tricky part getting to the creek, I try to move my legs but their shaky uncomfortably, trying a few more times, I give up, throwing the cup back down I lean back against the tree, huffing, I look over at the guy, he just staring at me kinda with a smirk on his face, rolling my eyes I look away. "I can fill it back up for you, it's good that your making progress I'm surprised, I actually thought you was dead when I got to you, but here you are, you must be one strong little one." I just look at him with my eyebrows raised. "My name is Dominate, I'm a bounty hunter, got a wife and 2 kids a 6 year old boy, and 4 year old girl, she would love you." He says while filling my cup up, I take it from him, and drink slowly again, not finishing it all so I don't have to ask him to do it again, I sit the cup next to me, "Do you remember anything?" he questionly ask me. Thinking back, I remember fighting and running, then just as I thought was the end of it, I had a stare off with a huge black wolf, his eyes were dark blue staring at me, foaming out the mouth, I remember wanting to go to him, just like how I wanted to with the white wolf dream,I wanted to just lay in his thick fur, he was so beautiful, just like her only difference was the color, trying to speak " A black wolf" I whisper out. "I didn't see a black wolf, I came across 2 men, you was being carried by them, you look dead I fought and killed them, I heard more men coming so I picked you up and ran, woke you up when we were safe." Dominate says, least Barron men are dead, but truth of the matter is, what is he wanting with me?, "What do you want from me?" my voice slowly coming back. "Your name is Layla right? I nod my head at him. "I was hired to find you and take you back to my boss." I nod again. "What does your boss want from me?" He looks off to the creek water, like he's thinking about what he gonna say. "A man came to me about week ago, told me that his mate ran away, he wanted her to come back, he's a alpha, he made my wolf Dojo bow to him, anyways offer me a lot of cash to bring you back to him, he said you was special, but all mates are special, I know I have one" he smiles. I knew then he was working for Barron, "You should try to talk to him,he didn't seem like a bad guy, can't be as bad as the hits and treatment them other men were doing to you." he stops talking. "I don't have no mate, and I'm not goin back to that psycho, Im free and that's how I'm going to stay, you don't know him like I do, he's worse then his men that he sent after me, he is no saint, a murderer, kidnapper, and a dead soul." I say with venom. Dominate looking confused, "I don't understand, he broke down and cried in front of me, told me you was his everything, that your wolf hasn't shifted so you can't feel the mate bond but he can." "HES A MONSTER, HE KILLED MY PARENTS WHEN I WAS 10 YEARS OLD, HAS BEATEN ME, TURNED ME INTO A KILLING MACHINE, WANTS TO BREED WITH ME TO MAKE MORE OF HIM!, YOU THINK THIS IS NICE?" I yelled not sure where my voice came from, and the strength to stand up but I felt strong for a minute, while ripping my shirt completely off and letting him see the whip marks on my back, he sees all the scars, dominates face fell and went blank he turned pale white, "I'm-im s-sorry," dominate stuttering. "if I don't return you, he's coming for my wife and children, I needed the money to finish our home, the cash was way more then what we needed to finish, you was my last bounty, I'm sorry layla I have to take you back, I cant let my family be killed." he says defeated. "Or let your daughter suffer the way I have." I look at him, before turning my back on him and laying down, he stays quiet, I hear him muffling around, when the scent of food hit me, I turn back around to see Dominate standing there holding out one of the rabbits that he killed earlier, taking it from him we sit in silence and eat our supper, licking and cleaning my hands once I was threw, I go to ball up and find some sleep, when Dominate clears his throat, I open my eyes up to him holding out a shirt for me, and a blanket. I hesitantly take them, slowly pulling the shirt over my head, I lay back down and cover up with the blanket, still not saying much, I lay there trying figure out another escape plan, but my mind drifts off to the dream I had of the white wolf I don't remember much but I remember how it felt, she felt so real to me, how close she felt to me, even what voice I do remember it sounded like hers in my dream, she said a name Ajax, who is Ajax I never heard of him before, finding sleep I drift off to the beautiful eyes that the wolf had, how it made me feel comfortable I fell asleep. "Layla, Layla get up we have to go, someone is close, come on jump on my back, Layla get up." I groggily open my eyes to find Dominate up and ready to go, he's pulling me to my feet, the pain is excruciating, but luckily I didn't get dizzy or have any blood coming out, he throws me over his back and he takes off running, this man can run, finally after a hour or 2 running, he comes to a stop and sits me down gently. "We safe again, I caught scent of some werewolves, I couldn't risk us, I don't know how many they were, the smelt rogue." Dominate says. "That would be Barron's men." I say casually. Dominate just looks at me, he sighs. " Stay here, I need to make a phone call." Without me even arguing he grabs a phone from his pocket and does something and puts it to his ear, he walks off, I stand up, he comes back, looks dead at me, "I told my wife about you, she said she heard their was a white wolf in a rogue pack, the man killed her parents, took her, no-one knows if you was alive or dead." Dominate says sadly. I just continue to stare at him. "She also told me, her and the kids will go hide in our cabin that deep in the woods, 3 hours away from our home. She told me to let you go, to even bring you there, you have been threw enough and no human or wolf should live through what you have." Dominate says. hey I like her, "I can't have Barron kill them, cause of me, I'm tired of having deaths on my hands." I say back. Dominate walks up to me and hugs me,I didn't move I didn't hug him back, "Your a very strong, brave, smart girl Layla I'm glad we still have those in our kind, my daughter is very brave and free like you, I want let Barron hurt my family if you promise me, one day to revenge the deaths that he has done to you, I will be running as well for the rest of their lives, you have to take him down, that's how you can help protect mine as well." Dominate says letting go of me, run that way he pointed to the right of me, it will take you to a town, takes about 3 hours to get there from here, find your life there, My wife is already headed to the cabin, she's a day away, I pray you have a new good life, goodbye white wolf." with that Dominate hands me his bag and runs away. Standing there, shock it's a trick right, he's tricking me. I finally found some momentum in my feet and they head off to the direction of the town he was talking about, after walking for hours, falling down alot I come to a clearing where I see houses and a little shopping area where people are pushing carts and walking down the streets, I stand there and watch them for quiet awhile, when I hear a twig break behind me, I dart out of the woods, trying clean myself up, and fix myself I walk pass the people some look at me some pay me no attention, I seen a sign that says women bathroom, I walk in there and check each stall, I quickly do my business and after I'm done washing my hands I clean myself up with the water, washing my legs, face and wetting my hair, using fingers to comb threw It, I then start going threw the bag, there's still alot of first aid kit stuff, the blankets, some knives, 3 shirts and shorts, a cap and a wad of cash, I put a clean shirt on, and throw my hair up in the cap, feeling better I walk out the bathroom, looking in each direction to figure out my next move, I follow the crowd walking aroun the shopping center, I broke down and ask a old lady where I could stay for the night, she pointed to a building I went there, checking in I got me a room, I went there and from there I got a hot steamy shower, and food, so tired I fall straight to sleep. waking up to the sun, I quickly change again, and head out, I walked out of that town and down the road till the place was out of sight, not sure where I was going I was just walking, walking to my freedom, walking to my new life.

(Now)

"You damn b***h, once I catch you I swear, I'm gonna gut you open and feed you to the wolves." Laughing, I run faster, it's been 3 months now, Barron's men are still hunting me, but I always end up losing them or killing them mainly killing them, After they would catch me torture me, beat me,finally one-day a rogue caught up to me, but when he went to hit me, the pain wasn't as bad like a shield or something it's like it was blocking most of the pain. I could easily get away better, kill them faster, decided to live in the woods, after Dominate left me I found a good size cave, got it fixed up for me, no-one has found it, which if you didn't know it was there you would walk right over it, its camouflage good, my wolf i guess you can say, helped me out one-day, I was being chased when I got so tired from running, I felt a strange sinsation hit me, and next thing I knew it was like I was looking threw a clear window with hd or something, anyways I spotted the cave and ran into it, the men kept running on, I stayed there for hours that day, then I walked out of the cave and it was just amazing how my vision was just so clear, I could see for miles, hear any and everything, I think I even got a little bit taller, but it doesn't compare to the moment I heard her voice, the same voice I had a dreame about while ago, "Layla, I'm here stay in this cave, we will live here, I'm not leaving you, but I can't fully shift yet, your still not as powerful yet, I need you stronger before your birthday, you still might be to weak, but you will be able to talk to me, I can give you my strengths and heal you quicker if we get into danger." she said to me, I just had stood there didn't know to talk out loud, still to this day I'll speak out instead of my head, she explain how it works, she even showed me a vision of me being a little girl running and playing with my parents, showing me all my time with the life I used to have, showed me my mothers wolf, she was beautiful, she remembered what our mom looked like when we were a baby, our mother shifted one-day and killed a man chasing her and my dad, it was unbelievable to watch a human turn into a animal, she even told me, she has been able to connect to the wolf name Ajax, she can't hear him or talk to him but when he feels mad or sad it makes her feel the same, she thinks he the one that has help us alot three this, she knows what I'm thinking all the time, well because we are each other, we just have different opinions, we argue alot. "Tanwyn, you think it's safe today to go, you said your feeling different since we woke up this morning, we can find food out here, "no let's go, we need get lady things, it's almost time for your period." You mean our period. Rolling my eyes, she never takes the human responsibility, we head off to the small village, we been coming here since we found the cave no-one asks me who I am or talks to me which is fine, I been here for months, so we figure we would be ok here. We get to the village and go to the small house where a lady sells pads, tampons, everything bathroom wise, I been living off the money that was in the bag, over $10,000 I feel bad for using it but it has come in handy, after leaving her place we make our way over to the meat house we call it, we pick out a few different types of meats, and we leave, heading back to the woods, I feel Tanwyn stand up and become alert, "What is it?" I say to her in my head, "I don't know, I feel like something is gonna happen, I feel like there someone very powerful coming this way." She stops talking and just goes blank on me, her knowing I hate when she does that, I roll my eyes and start back walking, we always take different routes when we come here, baring off into the woods, I head to the cave, about a mile from it, Tanwyn shouts from nowhere, "STOP!" I quickly stop, "What, what?" I yell back at her. I feel her take over, she doesn't completely take over but she can take over my smell, touch, vision, and my hearing becomes exquisite, using her smelling sense she sniffs the air, and starts running toward the cave, it takes us no time to get back, she pretty fast. once we get back she gives me back my human part, "What the hell, what happen back there." "Someone is on our track, there good, we need to be prepared just in case they find us here, go ahead and pack up, get as much as we can get, if we have to leave here for good, we will find another place I promise." Tanwyn says. Sighing I begin to pack, after a while, Tanwyn calms down, I finally fall to sleep, after arguing with her about sleep I was tired, I gave up and pass out.

Ryan Pov: "Look lady, we have tracked a girl here, she has white hair, probably scars on her, she may be about 5' foot something, have you seen someone like her?" I ask, she lifts her finger up and points to the woods, rolling my eyes and growling loudly she shamefully bows down to me, "I only seen a girl come from the woods, that's all I know, she comes once a month sometimes twice a month, she's always by herself, that's it that's all I know." Believing the lady, I walk out of her shop and meet up with Owen as he walking out the meat shop, looking more angry then me, I had a bounty give me a call after a few months of losing Layla, said Barron has put out a bounty for her, when Owen showed up to go with me, I knew I had to find her he chose her, and I make sure that not only I find my sister, but my best friend gets his true mate, and I love watching how him and ajax go back and fourth with each other, anyways the bounty gave me another bounty's name Dominate, just so happen we found him at a diner one day, after convincing him we didn't work for Barron and Owen had to show him his true self and Dominate gasping saying "The Black wolf" he complied , he told us everything, the day he found her, that now he knows it was us he ran from, he got a punch from both the beta and the king, he showed us where he left her, told her which way to go, he wasn't sure if she listen, because he left, so here we are, at this little village, Owen barley keeping ajax at bay, cause he says her scent is every where, Jasmine and strawberries he say. I roll my eyes because yea even tho I never knew the girl before I still look at her like a baby sister, and I have that brotherly bond there, so we hit the woods, we both turn into our wolves, his gigantic black wolf is running around frantically, My wolf who is large as well, has grey fur, runs opposite way, her scent is just everywhere, we both can't trace her, everytime we get on a path, lead us to a dead end, I give it her, she good at masking scent. After going at it all day, we give up and get a hotel room, "We ain't leaving here, she's here somewhere were gonna find her." Owen mind-links me, I don't even say nothing back, because I'm with him, shes here somewhere. Morning time comes and we head back off into the woods.

Layla's Pov:

Waking up from a dreame I had, we came face to face with the grey wolf, that I guess you can say helped me, he only stared at us, then disappeared, shortly after a huge black woods jump out and howled so loudly, I could see Tanwyn running to him they licked jumped all over each other. "He was handsome, and beautiful." T says. "um sure, not really digging a wolf tho, like that is what you are, I don't see myself sexually doing a wolf T." I mumble to myself. "i***t he has a human, how else is he a werewolf, his human is powerful as well, I bet he is handsome." She says smiling, puffing I get up, "Well excuse me for breaking your little horny hormones, but I don't want a man, and no man will think he can have me, so If you ever Incounter this wolf man, don't expect me to give in so easily." Huffing at her. I walk outside and breathe in the morning air, so peaceful out here. "How about we go take a hike or something." It's not safe Layla, I can still sense 2 men around town." T says, yea I nicknamed her T, "Ugh I don't want to stay here all day, it's boring." I grunt. "Fine, just for a few though, we need the cave just in case." Smiling ear to ear, we take off up the trails, walking for a few miles we stop and sat down on a rock, huffing, i get back up and walk over to the creek, I wish my face off, when suddenly I get kicked to the water, T taking over, she jumps up whirls around and lands a knock out punch to the intruder, after a few moments another guy steps out, he is big and stalky, he runs after us we take off running when a huge grey wolf knocks the man head on he goes flying into the air, the wolf looks straight at us, "it's the same wolf from months ago" I tell T. she stays quiet, Im not sure if he was smiling or showing his teeth, but I didn't stay to find out because not long another guy approached and the wolf quickly got busy with him, T running hard and fast were making our way back to the cave, when we got knocked down the hill we running beside, and went flying down toward the bottom, the man jumping on top of me, I kick, punch clawed but he was big and strong, he pulls out a knife, he rips open my shirt, "I think I'll cut your wolf out so Barron can get over this fetish with you." he sneered in my ear. As he was about to rip me open, no it can't be, the beautiful black wolf appeared from nowhere and snatch the man up and drugged him away from us. I jump up and start running fast, we hear a howl in the distance. "Almost home." I whisper. "Layla it was him, the black wolf, he came for us, saved us. we need to go back." T trying to take over, but I fight her over this, I make it back to the cave, T stop, I told you, we are not gonna do this, he might of saved us but who knows who the hell he is he could be Barron man, I feel what you feel but please Tanwyn we can't get distracted, we have to survive together." I say to her. She just nods and turns her back on me. She just doesn't understand my point of view in this, I was the one feeling the pain threw it all, she just watched. I can't just run to a wolf that I have no idea who he is, I can't put us in danger like that again. Then I hear it again, the howl, he's getting closer, I cover the best I can the inside of the cave where the opening is, "moonGoddess please if you are what they say please don't let us be taken again, if that is true and he is to take us please strike me now, kill me right here right now, I can't handle the torture anymore, just take me now." I knelt down in the furtherest corner of the cave, crying and praying, I hear paws splashing around the water just outside, I can hear the 2 growling and running above the cave, I can see their shadows pas the front of it, trying not to even breathe, it goes quiet, T and I both balled up and scared, it all goes so quiet out there, I glance over at the bag I still had from dominate I slowly and quietly make my way toward it, grabbing it and going back to the corner of the cave I slowly pull out 2 pocket knives, and his hunting knife, I place one picket knife in my pocket and the big knife behind my back tucked in my shorts, the other knife I kept in my hand, then the shadow stops in front of the cave, I hear him sniff, He jumps threw growling, changing into a huge, beautiful naked man "I found you my little mate!" he smiles mischievously
