I turned my throbbing head everywhere, desperately searching for even one pair of eyes that might soften at my suffering.
I used my eyes to call for any of them standing and watching to reach out to me.
They knew I needed help but once I looked around, they turned their faces too. They looked away, afraid that if they came closer, Seraphina's anger would find them as well.
No one would risk their well-being for an outcast like me.
Then the pain pierced through me as she deepened her other claws into my second shoulder.
My head snapped back with a sharp crack. Damn, it felt like my skull was splitting as my body went hard, it was as if my skin was burning from an electric shock.
It was hurting everywhere and no one was ready to help me.
