I dragged a cold palm down my face, my heart pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of my chest. Even my hands were trembling.
"I think there's been some kind of mistake," I breathed out slowly.
"Really?" Kael asked, the corner of his lips curling into a faint smile, like he actually found this amusing.
"You should be happy. Who wouldn't be happy finding out that three Alphas are bonded to her? The Ravencrests, for that matter." He lifted his chin arrogantly, but I still caught the bitterness buried underneath his tone.
Damn.
This guy seriously had no sense of timing.
