After the night of learning Dimitri was murdered it seemed as if the world slowed down. Nyx went into a severe depression while screaming at everyone that she hated them however her anger was mostly directed at Xavier and Dominick. Xavier because he had lost track of Dim or so he said at least and Dominick because he didn’t go to the party. Their mother ended up being put on bedrest due to the stress which with her being pregnant it wasn’t good for her. Both Xavier and Dominick couldn’t be in the same room without being at each other’s throats since they too blamed the other. As for their father well he spent more nights being away from their family, coming home drunk or he’d be home only to leave late at night. Their father was always mumbling about vampires and monsters and how they would pay for what they did.
The night of Dimitri’s funeral was when everything got worse. However at the funeral they appeared as a family.
Flashback to the funeral
Despite her father coming home late that night covered in mood with bits of blood on his clothing while wreaking of alcohol he cleaned up. He was freshly shaved wearing his black suit as he held their mother close as she wept for her son, the man putting on a show like he forgot that Dimitri wasn’t even his child. Xavier had Morgana beside him as they comforted each other while Dominick had Elizabeth. As for Nyx well she refused to be touched by anyone because the person she wanted was being buried six feet under. The moment Dimitri’s casket was in the ground they had to prevent Nyx from trying to jump in with him as she kicked and screamed, wailing into her fathers chest as he held her. His grip on her didn’t loosen until she was passed out from her own emotions which ended up with him putting her into the car. They drove home in silence. It was at home that everything changed.
Their father ordered Dominick to take Nyx out of the car and carry her to her room while everyone else filed out silently and into the house. Xavier and Morgana sat down on the couch while their mother went to go to the kitchen only to be grabbed by the wrist by their father roughly. Alexandria tried to remove her wrist from her husbands grip “Let me go Jeremiah, your hurting me.” She told him in a low voice which had him roll his eyes “How can you sit here and act like your not a sl*t? Admit it those boys aren’t mine. Only the girls are.” He growled. Morgana covered Sybils ears since she was only little and didn’t need to hear their parents argue. Xavier got up from the couch and walked over “Let her go you pr*ck. If she did f*ck another to have me and my brothers then I’m glad your not our father because your nothing but a pathetic drunk.” He growled which resulted in their father swinging at him. It connected with his face which had Morgana scream and cry as she watched her favourite older brother fall to the floor as Lizzy moved to scoop up Sybil to hide her eyes.
“Jeremiah!” Alexandria screamed at him while rushing to their sons side to help him. His nose was bleeding while their father stared at his hand in astonishment since he couldn’t believe he had hit his own son. The next thing he rushed out of the house in his own disgust. However that wasn’t the only time that happened. Though it was shortly after that day that Xavier moved out of the home. It made Morgana also slip into her own depression.
Their fathers anger only grew more and more and it didn’t matter who he took it out on. Most of the time it was directed towards their mother even though Dominick got between them. However the remaining children at home made sure to protect Sybil from their monster of a father, she was the only one he didn’t harm. For the most part Nyx, Morgana and Lizzy all three avoided being punished however there was a few times he had managed to hit both Lizzy and Nyx when Dominick wasn’t home. Their mother had ended up losing the baby due to stress and their fathers abuse except the woman told no one.
Four years later
Finally graduating high school and entering into medical school to become a nurse had been her dream despite the horrible things going on in her home. Elizabeth knew she had to push through life and hope that eventually their father would return to normal except he got worse. He no longer had a job which meant their mother was required to earn a living while he gambled and got wasted and went hunting as he said. He was hunting the so called monsters that killed Dimitri. While she got accepted to medical school she couldn’t rely on her mother to pay for her tuition let alone keep the house a float so she got a job at a str*p club.
It was the night of her third shift that her father came home p*ssed out of his mind and unfortunately she just happened to be the only one at home. Of course she had tried to sneak out before he saw her however she found herself pinned to the wall “Alexandria.. it’s been a long time since I f*cked you.. I forgive you for being a sl*t.” He slurred which had her squirm while making a face. Despite her saying daddy and begging him to stop it fell on deaf ears so she did the only thing she could do. Elizabeth brought her knee up to knee him in the gro*n to get him off of her and make a run for it, despite getting free he still managed to rip her shirt a bit. The smell of alcohol still clouded her nose as she walked through the park on the way to work. It was dark which made her slightly uncomfortable considering her fathers words ran through her mind.
Vampires hunted their prey at night, their favourite prey were females. It had a shiver run through her body as she sped up in her movements. Vampires couldn’t be real, could they? It didn’t take long for her to reach work or to change into her outfit. The club she worked in was a private one that only allowed certain members in. The money was amazing. It was the only place she could lose herself in, there was no grieving over her brother or worrying about her siblings nor her mother. There wasn’t even dealing with her father, just work.
She typically served tables however they were short on dancers so her boss demanded her to work the pole. It was during her dance that her eyes met a pair of blue ones that took her breath away, making goosebumps cover her skin. After finishing her s*ductive dance she removed herself from the stage and headed towards the back dressing area since those blue eyes worked her body up for whatever reason. Who was he and why was her body responding this way? It was on her way to the room that she was grabbed by rough hands and pinned against a wall which had her grumble under her breath. Being pinned to a wall seemed to be a thing tonight and definitely not something she wanted unless it was the blue eyed male from earlier.
Her blue eyes narrowed “Get your f*cking hands off me before I remove them for you.” She snapped only to bring her knee up into the males gro*n which only seemed to piss the male off. That was when she saw it the sharp fang like teeth that had her body stiffening. Vampires did exist. It was then the male went to grab her again only to be stopped by another male putting his hand on his shoulder. Her breath hitched when she noticed it was the man with the blue eyes.
“I would back off if I were you buddy.” The male told the vampire in a thick Greek accent that made her want to hear more of. Did he not know the male in front of them was a vampire? When the vampire looked at the male and snarled she stiffened only to notice the other male smirk and roll his eyes “Times up.” He winked. Since no one other then the her was back there Sebastian shoved his fist into the males chest cavity and ripped out the heart. The vampire snarled before collapsing to the floor while Seb sighed and looked at her as if nothing happened “Are you alright love?”
