Smacking my lips while pacing the hallway, I couldn't help it. My mind was running wild and filled with different thoughts. Thoughts I couldn't properly process.
“Ma’am, you mentioned earlier that madam is in the hospital. You can go check on her, I will make sure everything remains fine here.” the maid said.
Throwing my weight on the chair behind me, I shut my eyes tightly, and droplets of tears ran down freely. It wasn't my fault I couldn't control them no matter how hard I had tried to. It was a good thing that Maya had already fallen asleep on the maid’s lap.
