Valerie’s POV
There she lay, helpless, weak and I couldn't do anything to save her. It hurt me so much, a tear ran down my cheek. I hated seeing my mother like this.
At that point, I couldn't think of the DNA test note I found with her anymore. I just wanted to be sure that my mother was fine.
“Doctor, how is she? Please will my mother be alright? Doctor, please say something to me, please doctor.” I urged the director, walking behind him swiftly.
His silence caused a slight twist in my stomach. I needed to know what was going on, and what was wrong with my mother. At least just to be sure that she would be alright.
Despite my entire pleas, the doctor advocated for his silence. I was ignored as though I had been invisible.
