Claire was waiting for her outside their classroom when she arrived. She somehow felt awkward going back to class after her incident despite asking her classmates not to spread the news about her attack to other departments. Still, words traveled, what with the police poking around school for days, asking questions, and checking the CCTV footage. But there was one thing good that came out of what happened to her, and that was awareness of the students especially girls not to risk walking home or wherever without companions at night.
"Oh boy, I'm so glad you're finally okay."
Claire gave her the tightest hug as soon as she came closer.
"I'm glad to be here too. I mean...you don't know how bored I was at home the past few days."
She didn't see Lana come outside too but her friend joined
