Still lost in her thoughts, Milly didn't notice Professor Siva had been calling her twice to come up the stage and join the band for practice.
"Everything okay?"
The chief asked in a calm voice.
If he was annoyed by her inattention, he didn't show it.
"I'm sorry about that, um I'm here."
Milly tilted her head a little to mimic a small bow as an apology but she didn't escape the curious glances some of her bandmates cast her.
She sighed inwardly upon sitting down in front of the keyboard. Being a newbie and all, she couldn't allow that picture to distract her in front of the team. Lifting her head confidently, Milly focused her attention on the music score.
