A quarter after eight p.m. and coach Cal was beyond wasted. He lived through what he always said, that he only dedicate one day a year to free himself from being a responsible adult. And true to his words, nobody would ever catch him drunk or wasted at any time besides on his birthday.
Ryan and Laurence both had him on each side as the man staggered out of the bar.
"Easy, old man. You're gonna fall on your face sooner rather than later if you keep this up."
There was a slight slur on Ryan's words although physically he still looked pretty stable except for maybe the obvious sign of intoxication on his face. While Laurence, although admittedly would likely take a cab home too, was looking sober except for the three opened buttons on his shirt instead of just one.
