The game ended with Saint John winning just by two points. Milly witnessed how hard their players worked and how astonishing their win was although she was, for the most part, late to the ruckus. She wanted to stay until everyone was out of the gymnasium, but the introvert girl in her was suddenly shy and conscious, it was ridiculous, even for her. Feeling dejected for no reason at all, she strolled leisurely along the tree-lined path behind the sports building. It was past five in the afternoon and the sun was about to set.
