Laurence crushed the empty can of beer in his hand and hurled it into the trashcan by the balcony of his apartment. His wristwatch read eight-thirty in the evening and he was yet to turn the lights on inside. Coming from practice rendered him exhausted but it wasn't just his body that felt tired. He missed her, yet he'd been purposely avoiding spending too much time with her the past few days because he didn't want to be selfish. The least he could do was to allow her to fully recover without demanding more from her when she already had too much to catch up on at school.
