"Mom!"
Melina, also known as Doc Mel Garcia to her patients and colleagues, examined her daughter from head to toe first before even giving her a hug. When she finally saw that Amelia was physically okay, only then did she come in for a tight hug.
"How bad is it?"
After checking the bandages on her head, Mel focused her attention on the red marks on her daughter's neck.
"Tell me what happened."
Knowing the incident happened more than a day ago and she didn't hear about it until today meant that her ever stubborn daughter didn't want her to know at all.
"Mom... I'm fine. And I already reported this to the police, okay? You don't have to worry too much."
Milly was downplaying what happened and if there was anyone who knew what she was doing, it was her mom.
