Chapter 8

570 Words

Isla's chest ached with a dull, relentless pain, guilt threatening to crush her. But no matter what, she had to find Evan. Until she said it was over, they weren't truly unbound! Steeling herself, Isla dialed Evan's number. Each call went unanswered, ringing into silence. She found him on w******p, pinned at the top, and sent a message—only to be met with a glaring red exclamation mark. Evan had blocked her on every platform. Isla stared at her phone, teetering on the edge of madness. Even if Evan was gone, where could he have gone? Evan's father, William, had taken a new mate and had new pups after Evan's mother passed. William's new she-wolf had even betrayed Evan, setting him up. After he was saved, Evan and his father's bond had frozen over. No way would Evan turn to William.
