After Jack left, Fred remained seated in his car. He couldn't imagine going to a house where Lily had wrapped him around his finger. He looks weak because what Lily orders him is what he does.
Fred has always had a masculine toxicity of always wanting to be in control. It really shook him to the core that Lily was controlling him.
