Evelyn's POV I bit into a slice of cake, way too sweet, and leaned back on the sofa to let it hit. “He’s a problem too,” I muttered. “Oh?” Maddie perked up immediately. “Do tell—what kind of problem?” “Last time he said he wanted to meet up, he chose the time and place.” I stared at the ceiling. “A week’s gone by.
